Xander Harrison withdrew his gaze and turned to Bonnie. "Go on inside. I'll pick you up tonight."

Bonnie looked back at her father, then at the man standing beside him. Even with her lingering hesitation, she finally walked through the gates.

Cassie Fletcher followed closely behind her.

That left only Xander and Finnegan Fletcher standing by the entrance.

Neither of them made a move to leave. As if by some unspoken agreement, they remained rooted to the spot, watching the girls' silhouettes disappear from sight before Xander finally took a slow step back.

Finnegan's expression darkened, his tone losing any semblance of courtesy. "During the Newman Estate's memorial, Nora and I are, at the end of the day, family. I have no idea how you managed to sneak in, but I’m warning you—don't get any ideas about Nora. You'll only end up getting hurt."

Hearing this, Xander swallowed a laugh and raised an eyebrow. "Oh? And where exactly is this coming from?"

Finnegan let out a cold scoff, his eyes full of disdain. "I know Nora is exceptional, and it's understandable that you'd be drawn to her.
