Chapter 151
If they didn’t teach her a lesson this time, she’d only get more out of control.
Just as Dora was about to place the call, Summer, who had stayed quiet until now, reached out and stopped
her.
“Mom, if you call the police, Steven will be upset.”
Dora froze.
“Maybe she didn’t do it on purpose. Maybe we should just let it go?”
Dora’s expression darkened. “You’re still speaking up for her? Have you forgotten what she’s done to you these past few days? Summer, there are times when being too kind just makes you a fool.’
Seeing Summer still defend Stella only made Dora angrier.
She ignored her completely and called the police anyway.
Back at Mount Lara-
Mrs. Reynolds was pinned to the floor by two bodyguards.
Stella sat on the couch, cold as ice from head to toe.
Even the way she looked at people was enough to make their scalp go numb.
“Do you want me to send you straight to the police station,” she asked, “or do you want to confess first?”
The moment Ms. Reynolds heard police station, she shook her head frantically.
“No. I can’t go to the police. If I go, everything will be over.”
“Then talk. Who told you to poison the food?”
The poison had obviously been meant for her.
Good thing Marianne said one extra word.
Otherwise, the one being wheeled into the hospital right now would have been her.
Who would have thought that the man who once insisted so fiercely on marrying her would end up surrounding her with this kind of danger?
Ms. Reynolds trembled. “I… I…”
“You’re not talking?”
Stella’s voice turned even colder.
“Mrs. Wright, I… I can’t say it…”
By then, Ms. Reynolds had started crying.

It was obvious she was being threatened by someone.
“Then should I send you to prison instead?”
“No. I can’t go to prison either. I can’t…”
She kept shaking her head in terror.
She did not dare name the person behind this.
But she could not go to prison either.
Stella narrowed her eyes slightly. “So what exactly are you expecting? Do you think I’m some kind woman?”
Ms. Reynolds froze.
Kind?
No. Stella was not kind.
If she were, she would not have turned the entire Wright family upside down these past few days.
Facing Stella’s calm face and ruthless heart, Ms. Reynolds was truly panicking.
“Mrs. Wright, please spare me. Please…”
Stella gave one of the bodyguards a look.
He understood instantly.
He stepped forward and snapped one of Ms. Reynolds’s fingers.
The scream that tore out of her filled the entire Mount Lara estate.
The bodyguard stepped back, face grim.
Ms. Reynolds curled up on the floor, shaking in agony.
Stella looked at her. “Can you talk now?”
“I… I did it myself…”

The second those words came out, Stella flicked another look at the bodyguard.
He stepped forward again.
“No-ahhh!”
The pain of another finger breaking made her scream even louder.
And just then, the police arrived.
Fiona came with them.

The moment she saw Ms. Reynolds writhing on the floor in pain, she got so angry her finger shook as she pointed at Stella.

“you… you vicious woman! The Wright family has always treated its staff well. Who do you think you are, acting like you run this house?”
Fiona had completely lost it.
Seeing her show up with the police only made Stella’s smile more mocking.
Fiona pointed at her and shouted at the officers, “Take her away! She’s the one who poisoned my brother. She poisoned him just to force a divorce. She’s a vicious, poisonous woman, Arrest her and shoot her!”
Her voice was shrill with hysteria.
