Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 734

Chapter 734

When Stella woke up the next morning, Jennifer was already gone.

By the time she came downstairs, Gray was overseeing the packing.

Stella did not have many belongings at the Wright estate, but when she had returned, Gray had brought over plenty of her things.

The estate belonged to her now.

But once she left this time, she had no intention of coming back.

Felix sat in the living room in a black suit, a cigarette between his fingers. His brows were drawn together as though something weighed heavily on his mind.

Thinking about what Felix had told her the night before, Stella felt a dull ache in her chest

At the sound of her footsteps, he turned.

“You’re up? There’s no need to rush. We can push back the flight if we have to.”

“I’m awake. I’m not rushing.”

She and Jennifer had barely slept the night before.

Stella had thought she would sleep in.

But she woke up at her usual time anyway and could not fall back asleep.

When Gray saw her come downstairs, he immediately had breakfast brought out.

Felix stood and walked to the bottom of the stairs, holding out his hand to her.

Stella paused.

Seeing his broad, warm palm, she froze for a moment.

When she did not move, Felix smiled gently. “What is it?”

“Nothing.”

She placed her hand in his.

Felix closed his fingers around her soft hand, then frowned.

“Why are you so cold? Didn’t you put on something warmer?”

Seeing how lightly dressed she was, his frown deepened.

Stella instinctively tried to pull her hand away. “I’m always like this when I first wake up.”

“Are you?”

“Yeah. Every day.”

She had been busy dealing with them and had not had time to ask.

Felix thought for a moment. “It’s been a while, I think. She never told you?”

Stella shook her head.

Concern flickered in her eyes.

The Redson family was not simple either.

Leon’s father, especially, believed he should have complete control over the younger generation’s marriages

And the Redsons had always valued status and family connections.

Leon’s great–grandfather, grandfather, and father had all entered marriages for the sake of the family

So could Leon really be the exception?

Probably not.

Seeing the worry in Stella’s eyes, Felix reassured her lightly. “Leon may act as carefree as Lucas, but he’s more capable than he lets on.”

Felix had seen how cunning Leon could be when standing up to his father over the years.

Stella said, “A family’s foundations can’t be changed just because someone has a few tricks.”
