Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 858

Chapter 858

Stella had now placed herself completely on the opposite side from Felix.

On anything else, she might have compromised.

But when it came to Summer…

Felix had taken a hard stance again and again.

Stella had finally run out of patience.

At this point, she no longer cared.

It had been the same with Evan because of Summer.

And now it was happening again with Felix.

Stella might look gentle, but she never forgot a grievance.

No one was going to stop her from settling this hatred once and for all.

No one.

Especially not in the name of love.

She had been willing to abandon everything she once felt for Evan.

So what did Felix think he was to her?

Nothing had even begun between them.

There was no relationship to end.

Over in Seaborne, Evan showed no surprise when his new assistant, Sid, brought him the latest news

about Stella and Felix.

He had expected things between them to fall apart like this.

After meeting Stella that day, Evan had returned to Seaborne immediately

Seeing her had been the final thing he did in Eirden.

Before that, he had already taken care of everything else he had gone there to do.

And before leaving, he had ordered his people to keep a close watch on Stella, Felix, and the Hogarth family.

Even before making the trip, Evan had already been suspicious of Stella suddenly returning to the Hogarths.

And then there was Felix.

He had paid an enormous price to follow Stella to Eirden.

What kind of man was Felix in Evan’s eyes?

Even if that dead woman had remained somewhere in his heart all these years, Evan had never believed

Felix was ruled by emotion.

Yet the way he treated Stella this time…

It went far beyond devotion.

Felix seemed ready to place the entire world at Stella’s feet.

A slow, constant ache spread through his chest.

It hurt.

More than he could put into words.

He regretted not trusting Stella sooner.

If he had believed her when she first said Summer had deliberately caused the crash during her first pregnancy, would they still have lost their second child?

Why had he trusted Summer so blindly?

Simply because she had been his sister-in-law?

Memories of everything he had done to Stella came rushing back.

The disappointment in her eyes, again and again.

And at the end, that disappointment had become something close to despair.

Even now, after so much time had passed, those fragments still made it difficult for Evan to breathe.

They had shared years of history.

And even then, Stella had refused to compromise or forgive when it came to Summer.

So why had Felix ever believed he would be the exception?

Now Stella’s fury had finally turned on him too.

Good.
