My Husband's Affair My Anniversary Gift (Lily and David) novel Chapter 390

Kyndly’s expression darkened instantly.

A sharp laugh burst out of her, filled with anger and mockery.

“He can?” she said incredulously.

Her eyes flicked over Riyana with cruel amusement.

“Are you really that sure?”

She took another step closer.

“You look so confident, as if he can protect you from everything. But tell me,” she sneered, “just because he signed a paper, does that mean he has the ability to save you?”

The words hit harder than the slap.

Riyana felt her chest tighten.

She knew the truth.

She knew when it came to business, status, family pressure, Jabco would never choose her over everything he had built. She knew that deep down.

But she would never let Kyndly see that doubt, never.

“I am sure,” Riyana replied firmly. “I trust him.”

She met Kyndly’s gaze head on.

“And if you have the courage, go say all this to him.”

She challenged her openly.

Kyndly’s eyes darkened dangerously.

She had never liked Riyana, not from the beginning. Riyana had always defied Jabco when needed, always stood beside him without fear, always spoke her mind. She didn’t bow. She didn’t beg and she never trembled under threats.

That alone made Kyndly despise her.

“You trust him?” Kyndly laughed again, harsher this time.

Then, suddenly, her expression shifted.

Her smile sharpened.

“Where was he last night?” she asked casually.

Riyana froze. Just for a second.

But it was enough.

Her eyes betrayed her before she could stop them.

Kyndly noticed immediately.

She laughed, delighted.

“Look at you,” she said mockingly. “You don’t even know where your husband was last night, and you’re talking about trust?”

The words dug deep.

Riyana’s throat tightened but she refused to look away.

Kyndly turned and walked back to the sofa, sitting down slowly, crossing her legs with deliberate ease. She looked far too comfortable in someone else’s office.

“Do you know how I found out about your little relationship?” Kyndly asked lightly.

Riyana’s fists clenched harder.

She didn’t respond.

“Elara told me,” Kyndly continued smoothly.

The name hit Riyana like a punch.

“Last night,” Kyndly went on, her smile turning cruel, “he was with Elara.”

Riyana felt something crack inside her.
