Outcast Queen: Her Return from Hell novel Chapter 468

Quentin rubbed his temples in frustration, forcing down the rage boiling in his chest. Losing his temper over a useless pawn wasn't worth it.

"Duncan, I'll give you one last chance." He slowly looked up, his gaze wrapping around the man like a venomous snake. "If Nova-Bane Group can't serve as a roadblock for Astraea Group, then get the hell out of Highcrest."

"Understood... I will make Astraea Group pay." Duncan lowered his head, nodding frantically.

He ground his teeth, hatred churning in his gut.

He had been one step away from completely ripping away Phoenix's top executives!

But now, not only had he declared open war on her, he had lost everything, walking away with absolutely nothing.

Fortunately, he still had one final trump card hidden up his sleeve.

It was his only shot at turning the tables.

Because if he lost the Quincy family's protection, he truly wouldn't have a place left in Highcrest.

Leaving the Quincy estate, Duncan drove straight back to his private villa.

However, the moment he pushed open the carved wooden doors, an eerie chill washed over him, making him shudder.

The grand foyer was dead silent. The servants who usually waited on him hand and foot were nowhere to be seen.

"Something's wrong!" Alarm bells shrieked in Duncan's head. He immediately spun around to leave.

But the second he moved, two massive men in black suits stepped out of the shadows like ghosts, completely blocking his exit.

"Who are you? Breaking into a private residence—do you have a death wish?!" he barked, trying to mask his terror with anger.

The bodyguards' expressions were like ice. Ignoring his threat entirely, they spat out a single sentence: "Mr. St. Claire, step inside."

"Step inside?" Duncan sneered, desperately clinging to his pride. "This is my house! I come and go as I please. Who the hell are you to give me orders?"

Without another word, the guards stepped forward.

The suffocating, lethal aura radiating from them crushed Duncan's chest. The sheer terror in his eyes could no longer be hidden.

"Mr. St. Claire, after you," one of them gestured coldly.

Duncan closed his eyes in defeat. His legs felt like lead, but he forced himself to turn around, slowly dragging his feet into the living room.
