Reborn: Apocalypse Ready. War Goddess by My Side novel Chapter 146

Chapter 146 Dragged to the Door

Spencer Read, Quentin Sherman, and Elliot Fraser.

Finished

In Steven’s experience, Quentin and Elliot were both freshmen, and they were smarter about how they operated. More patient, more subtle.

Spencer was the dumbest of the three. The way he treated girls at the Academy told you everything you needed to know about his impulse control.

So one simple test was all it took to confirm it.

Good. That made things easy!

Steven slammed Dominic into the ground in front of everyone.

The scream that tore out of him made the onlookers flinch and suck air through their teeth. Nobody wanted to imagine what it felt like to be spear–hoisted through the chest and then driven into pavement.

Dominic was barely conscious. He lay in a spreading pool of his own blood, face white, drenched in cold

sweat.

Steven grabbed him by the collar and started dragging him across the ground toward the Third Sigil S- Class dormitory. A long smear of blood trailed behind them.

Students stared as they passed, skin crawling.

“What’s he doing?”

“Who is that guy?”

“That’s brutal.”

They followed at a distance, and word started to spread. Everyone was messaging their friends.

Dominic had lost too much blood to resist. He hung limp in Steven’s grip like dead weight.

The crowd grew. Someone finally recognized Steven.

“Holy shit, that’s the freshman who scored a level 5 combat rating. That’s Steven!”

“What?”

The upperclassmen looked stunned.

“He’s a freshman?”

“Yeah, B–rank. Brand new.”

They went pale.

“A B–rank freshman with a level 5 rating just destroyed Dominic?”

A freshman spoke up. “Is Dominic supposed to be tough?”

“Tough? He’s one of the strongest in our year. A–rank sigil, level 13, metal attribute. He can harden any part of his body until it’s basically unbreakable. How did this kid even get through his defense?”

Nobody had an answer.

A B–rank freshman had demolished an A–rank level 13 upperclassman. That was headline news. The crowd buzzed with disbelief.

“Is this Steven guy insane?”

“Where’s he going?”

The three of them tore out of the building without a second’s fresitation. Steven had stood up for them, treated them like brothers. There was no version of this where they sat around and watched.

In the Freshman S–Class dorm, Serena and the others had just started getting ready for bed when the alerts hit.

“Bianca, it’s bad. Steven just went after the Third Sigil students.”

Bianca’s heart stopped. “What happened?”

She checked the feed, and the worry hit her like a wall. She didn’t even change out of what she was wearing. She just ran.

Downstairs, Lilliana had seen the livestream too. She hesitated for a moment, then grabbed Vita and headed out.

She ran into Bianca at the entrance. Neither said a word. They both sprinted toward the Third Sigil dorm.

Spencer had no idea any of this was happening. He’d just gotten out of the shower and was lounging in a towel, waiting for good news from Dominic.

He was sure of it. Even if Steven was strong for a freshman, Dominic would put him on his knees.

A cold smirk played across his face.

A B–rank nobody who actually thought he could cause problems?

Bianca was going to be his. That was never in question.

When he’d seen her reply on StarComm today, and then realized she’d deleted him, something had snapped.
