Reborn Fake Heiress Watch the Whole Family Burn novel Chapter 953

The suite looked like a war zone.

Isabella sat on the floor, her hands gripping her own hair, violently ripping the strands out by the roots.

Patrick picked up a blanket from the ruined bed and wrapped it gently around her shivering shoulders.

"Are you alright, Isabella?" he asked, his voice low and soothing.

She looked up at him, her eyes burning with pure, unadulterated hatred. "It was you. He said you arranged this. Is it true? Tell me."

Patrick met her gaze and nodded. "Yes. It was me."

"Why?" she choked out, tears instantly spilling over her cheeks.

She had betrayed Dylan for him, sacrificing the one person who had actually treated her decently.

Her mother, Cecilia Bennett, had been murdered by Aunt Amber years ago.

Her father didn't care about her existence.

Patrick was her only anchor in the world, the only person she truly loved. How could he be so incredibly cruel?

"Why? Why would you do this to me? Say something! Tell me!"

"Because Mr. Holloway wanted you, and I needed that investment to survive. If I didn't get it, I would lose all my leverage in the Cresden City market. How am I supposed to fight Ethan without capital?"

"So to save your career, to fund your ambitions, I had to be the sacrifice? Patrick, do you have any idea what they did to me last night?" she sobbed, her voice cracking.

Holloway had taken her first, subjecting her to sick, twisted torment.

When he finally grew bored, he had tossed her to his subordinates.

She felt filthy.

Hearing that he still wanted to marry her ignited a desperate, fragile spark of hope in her shattered heart.

She threw herself into his arms and wept. "Patrick, I knew you wouldn't abandon me. I have nothing left in this world. I only have you. Just you..."

"Shh, don't cry. I promise we'll have our wedding next month."

"Really?" Isabella asked, looking up with sudden brightness.

For a fleeting second, the trauma of the night seemed to fade away.

"Of course. I would never lie to you. But before we can get married, there is one last thing I need to take care of. I need your help. Once this is done, we'll walk down the aisle."

Hearing there were conditions, Isabella immediately pushed him away, panic flaring in her eyes.

"Relax, Isabella, I'm never going to ask you to do something like last night again. That was Holloway's demand, and it killed me to hand you over to him."
