Reborn Fake Heiress Watch the Whole Family Burn novel Chapter 959

"Boss! You're back! Please forgive the recruits, they didn't recognize you," Jesse Vance said, dipping his head respectfully.

"And who are you?" Elena asked, her tone sharp.

"I'm Jesse. The organization sent me to run the Falveria branch about four years ago. I've heard legendary stories about Elena of Northmoon. It's a true honor to finally meet you in person," Jesse replied, practically beaming with excitement.

"I'm here on a specific mission, and I need this branch's full support. I've tracked down Sirius. I'm taking him out."

"Taking out Sirius?" Jesse blinked, looking momentarily caught off guard. "He vanished off the grid for a long time, but we did hear whispers he was active in Falveria again. He's a ghost, though. You actually know where he is?"

"Yes, and this time, he dies."

Elena sat down with the tactical team and laid out her strategy.

According to Logan's intel, Sirius was holed up in an isolated village on the outskirts of Falveria, guarded by roughly thirty heavily armed mercenaries.

Elena would take a small vanguard unit to breach the perimeter and flush him out. Logan would hold the main assault force in reserve and move in for backup. If they rolled in with massive numbers from the start, they'd lose the element of surprise.

Midnight.

The moon hung bright and heavy over Falveria.

The targeted villa sat in dead silence at the edge of the sleeping village.

Elena and her strike team slipped over the walls, but the perimeter was rigged. Within seconds, blaring alarms shattered the quiet night.

Elena kicked open the main doors and found Sirius waiting, surrounded by a wall of armed men.

"Elena of Northmoon. I have to admit, I'm impressed you found my safe house," Sirius sneered.

"Your run ends tonight, Sirius. I'm collecting the debt for the brothers you slaughtered!"

"Hold on. Before we get into that, take a look at this."

Sirius pulled a remote from his pocket and hit a button.

A massive screen on the wall flickered to life, showing live footage of Bianca Fairchild tied to a chair, looking battered.

"When did you grab Bianca?" Elena demanded, her eyes narrowing.

These weren't street thugs; they were hardened mercenaries, and they hit back hard.

Elena's squad started taking heavy fire. They were being pushed back.

Where the hell was Logan with the backup?

She had anticipated an ambush and specifically kept Logan on standby to flank them.

But the minutes dragged on, and there was no sign of him.

Several of Elena's men went down. Her muscles burned as she deflected close-quarters attacks while dodging heavy suppressing fire.

The villa was too small for this kind of firefight. They were running out of cover.

*Logan, where are you?* she thought frantically.

"Elena!"

Suddenly, a familiar voice cut through the deafening roar of gunfire.
