The next day, the prospective estate managers, dedicated security personnel, and several maid candidates arrived at Blackwood Manor right on schedule.
Rowan also hired professional technicians to install high-definition surveillance cameras across every inch of the estate, even wiring up the master bedroom. However, Lyra quietly marched over and turned off the bedroom cameras the second they were done.
When Rowan checked the master security system that evening, he immediately noticed the bedroom cameras were offline. He didn't say a word about it.
A few days flew by. The top-tier wedding photography team they had booked arrived at Blackwood Manor, ready for the shoot.
Madeline Vance, having nothing better to do, showed up to watch the spectacle. A makeup artist meticulously prepped Lyra's face, using a line of premium, pregnancy-safe cosmetics to completely avoid any harmful chemicals.
Noticing Mrs. Jameson's slight hesitation, the makeup artist smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry, ma'am. These brushes and palettes are brand new and freshly opened. No one else has ever used them."
Madeline chimed in curiously. "This set looks incredibly fancy. I bet it costs a fortune, huh?"
The makeup artist replied, "Just this one custom makeup session costs tens of thousands of dollars."
"He's really sparing no expense," Madeline raised an eyebrow, her gaze landing on Lyra's wedding dress. "It looks like Mr. Jameson put a lot of thought into picking this dress out himself! He's finally acting like a decent human being."
Right on cue, Rowan walked in to wait for his bride, prompting Madeline to instantly shut her mouth.
The shoot was set on Blackwood Manor's own expansive lawn. The grass had been meticulously manicured into smooth, rolling green hills that looked like a private golf course. With the lush turf, wide open views, beautifully arranged landscaping trees, and a clear blue sky over the lake in the distance, it naturally radiated luxury.
The photographer's eyes lit up immediately. He practically shouted at the groom, "Hurry! Go to her! This is the perfect vibe!"
Rowan drank in the sight of his wife's sudden, radiant vitality. He quickly strode over and wrapped a firm arm around her waist.
Lyra slowly reeled in her bright laughter, but as the shutter clicked, a trace of soft, genuine amusement still lingered in her eyes.
And for Rowan, that fleeting glimpse of warmth and life was more than enough.
Later that day, after the shoot concluded, Rowan used his verified main account to post a brief status update online. It was a simple phrase: Status by Heir.

The readers' comments on the novel: She's Too Busy Winning to Watch Him Cry
What Rowan did in his past life was horrific, and I’m not excusing it, but he truly did everything he could in his second life to repent and atone for what he did to Lyra. At some point, there has to be room for forgiveness and grace. If someone spends their entire life trying to make amends and become a better person, then what does redemption mean if we never allow them a chance to be forgiven? Even someone who has done terrible things deserves the possibility of redemption, and honestly, I want Rowan to be happy too!...
