Chapter 410: Jason’s Messages For Eira- I

Eira’s POV

After Jason left, my heart couldn’t be at peace. Though it was Jason who had left, Kael and Lucian went to the security team to keep track of updates, and if there was a need, they could take quick actions.

Kael had told me that they would be away with the security team the entire night, or probably until they made sure Jason returned. Though they would be within the estate, I might barely see them.

Roman and Rafe were with me, to take care of me and the babies. Especially Kaya, she needed Rafe most of the time. The little munchkin only stuck to me when she needed to fill her stomach, and later she didn’t even know me.

Unable to sleep anymore, I snuggled in Roman’s arms. Kaya was in her crib, and Rafe was with Raven in his room.

I felt how comforting it was to have multiple mates who took care of different things, and I didn’t have to stress over it, especially the kids when I was already stressed about something else.

"Staying won’t solve the matter," Roman said to me as he held me close and pecked my forehead. "You should sleep. In the morning, Kael and Lucian will let me know about Jason."

"I am trying, but the thought of his safety won’t let me," I mumbled. "I just want him to return right away."

"He will," Roman assured me and lulled me to sleep.

-----

The next morning, Kael and Lucian hadn’t returned yet.

Roman was packing breakfast for them, and Rafe had packed their clothes.

"They are just around in the estate, can’t they make it here?" I asked.

"Just like you, we all are worried, and Kael and Lucian didn’t want to slack even for a moment. You can’t tell when Jason might need help," Rafe said. "On the other side, they have to maintain contact with Alpha Gerald so both sides can plan together."

"Can I go to the security office and see what’s going on?" I asked. "I truly want to know about Jason."

"He had reached Asher and now is with him," Roman told me. "We will make sure to update you, don’t worry."

I nodded and forced myself to eat breakfast. It was like my throat was choked, and nothing could go down.

"You should eat well," Roman said as he brought fruits for me. "You need to feed Kaya, you can’t ignore your food."

I hummed and continued eating.

Rafe had put Kaya to sleep. He and Raven together took care of the pets before they came to join us for breakfast.

"Good morning, baby," I pecked on Raven’s head.

He pecked my cheek to greet me back before he sat in the chair to eat.

"I am sorry, baby. These days, mommy couldn’t pay attention," I said, realizing I did nothing for him. He was quiet in the home, doing his own things, not bothering anyone when we were troubled by other matters.

Such a good son I had. But I might not be the best mother for him. When it was finally time for him to get his mother, I was already busy birthing a sibling for him. I felt like I truly didn’t give him any time to make up for all those years.

Raven felt my gaze on him and looked at me. He picked up a piece of apple on his fork and held it for me to eat, his lips curved into a light, silent smile.

I ate it, my eyes moist. "Thank you. Mommy will try to spend more time with you."
