The Moment I Stepped Into His World as the Fake Girlfriend, I Became the Real Prize novel Chapter 37

"Why are you so worked up? Have you never seen a couple kiss before?"

Elena approached with a confident smile, stopping right in front of Lydia.

"Besides, how exactly is my boyfriend not good enough for the school belle? And why on earth would he ever need to be 'good enough' for her in the first place?"

She asked the questions in a soft, airy tone, yet her posture radiated absolute dominance.

"You bitch, drop the innocent act. You know damn well..."

"What? Was one apology from the school belle not enough for you? Are you really trying to make her apologize for you a second time?"

Cut off mid-sentence, Sasha's face went rigid as she glared daggers at Elena.

Ultimately, she swallowed her curses, gritting her teeth as she spat out, "I'm warning you, don't push your luck!"

"I'm pushing my luck?"

Elena lowered her gaze and chuckled. She looked as flawless as a painting, an absolute feast for the eyes.

Even when she was tearing someone apart, her tone was impossibly gentle, as if she had the patience of a saint. "You've been trying to convince her to steal my boyfriend this whole time, and you think I didn't notice? If anyone needs a warning, it's you. Don't push me."

Having effectively silenced Sasha, she turned her full attention back to Lydia, offering a formal introduction. "School belle, I've heard so much about you. I'm Sterling's girlfriend, Elena. We'll probably be seeing a lot of each other from now on, so let's try to get along~"

Watching the exchange, the crowd understood exactly what was happening.

On the surface, it was a polite introduction, but in reality, it was a blatant declaration of war.

The Prince's new girlfriend was the complete polar opposite of the school belle!

"Hello. I'm Lydia. Welcome to Kingsley University."

Lydia's eyes were still slightly red, and her voice wavered with a faint sniffle.

"But I'm sorry, I can't really help you with anything. You have Sterling as your boyfriend. If you need anything, you should just ask him."

Catching sight of Sterling slowly getting out of the car, Lorelei eagerly heaped on the praise.

Sterling merely lifted his gaze, staring at her with a chilling, dead-eyed expression that held absolutely zero joy.

He radiated such an intense, icy hostility that it felt as though the warm spring day had instantly plummeted back into the dead of winter.

Lorelei visibly flinched under his murderous stare, shrinking back in fear and shooting Elena a desperate look for help. "Ms. Larkin, did I say something wrong?"

Of course she did. Every single word was a colossal mistake!

Feeling slightly exasperated, Elena stepped back to Sterling's side and lazily wrapped her arms around his. She casually bailed the terrified girl out. "Thank you for the compliment. My boyfriend is just being shy!"

"...Really?"

Was Sterling actually being shy?

Because to her... it felt like he wanted to slaughter her on the spot!
