The Scorned Heiress: No More Mercy novel Chapter 509

Thankfully, Bianca is mostly unharmed. Aside from a few superficial scrapes—likely from struggling against her captors—she is perfectly intact.

"They... they're still here," Bianca whispers, her voice trembling.

Tara nods grimly. She helps Bianca to her feet and pulls a soothing antiseptic ointment from her pocket, gently applying it to the abrasions. With her medical background, she never leaves home without emergency supplies. Once Bianca is treated, Tara steps in front of her, her gaze hardening as she surveys the decaying factory. She knows the kidnappers are lurking in the shadows.

Right on cue, several massive figures step out from the darkness, completely surrounding them. Each man radiates lethal intent, gripping an assortment of deadly weapons.

"Who hired you?" Tara demands, standing her ground. She shields Bianca behind her, her mind racing through her options. "Give me a name, and I'll double whatever they're paying you."

The leader of the mercenaries steps forward, scoffing at her offer. "We're professionals, sweetheart. Keep your money." He flashes a menacing grin. "And you're not going anywhere, either. The boss wants both of you buried here."

With a flick of his wrist, the leader signals his men to attack.

Tara instantly pieces the puzzle together. This is the same shadowy organization that tried to assassinate her and Danny, but these men are leagues above the previous thugs. They are elite mercenaries, heavily armed and highly trained. The mastermind behind this must have realized that she and Danny are nearly impossible to corner, so they targeted Bianca to lure her into a trap.

"Tara, watch out!" Bianca screams.

Tara glances up and immediately recognizes the speaker. It is Luke, Danny's infuriatingly talkative best friend. He spots Tara, his eyes going wide, and immediately jumps into the fray.

"You shameless bastards! Prepare to face my wrath!" Luke yells, desperate to play the hero in front of Bianca. He has always loved showing off for beautiful women, and this is his moment to shine.

Unfortunately, reality hits hard. His flashy martial arts moves are entirely for show. He lands a couple of lucky punches, but it's blatantly obvious he won't last ten minutes against these hardened killers.

"Take Bianca and get out of here!" Tara orders him. "I'll handle them!"
