The Scorned Heiress: No More Mercy novel Chapter 606

Closing the encrypted application, Tara switches her phone back to its standard interface. She runs dual operating systems to prevent high-level hackers from breaching her data. The sheer volume of new intelligence regarding the foundation is overwhelming. She leans back in her chair, staring blankly at the ceiling, trying to clear her mind.

"Hey, gorgeous! You haven't eaten yet, right? Let’s grab lunch." Tricia bursts into the office, thrilled to finally drag her workaholic boss away from her desk.

"Sure. Where are we going? Should we invite Bianca?"

"Oh, let her be. She's drowning in paperwork for the new trainees. I haven't heard from her in days."

Tara laughs. "Being busy means making money."

They head to a highly recommended upscale cafe in the heart of the luxury shopping district. The establishment is famous for its exquisite culinary offerings and is a massive hit with the city's elite socialites.

As soon as they step inside, they bump right into Lindsay.

Everyone in the lobby ignores her outburst, accustomed to her lack of manners. Beside her, Julianna remains perfectly silent, observing Tara with calculating eyes.

Tara finds the dynamic fascinating. Bonnie is loud, obnoxious, and acts like a spoiled brat, but she is merely the attack dog. The real threat is Julianna, who hides behind Bonnie's volume, keeping her own hands perfectly clean. Tara has dealt with plenty of women exactly like her.

"Mrs. Sinclair," Tara says softly, stepping closer. "Your lips are showing signs of cyanosis. It looks like you've been struggling with severe insomnia. I strongly recommend you get a thorough check-up for cardiovascular issues."
