The Ugly Wife’s Stunning Comeback (Felicia and Max) novel Chapter 1065

The teacher was a man, lean and seemingly in his early forties. Felicia instantly recognized him as a university professor who frequently appeared at international financial forums. Naturally, any instructor handpicked by Max was bound to have top-tier credentials.

Max shook his hand and introduced Felicia. "This is my daughter's mother, Felicia."

Professor Schneider extended his hand. "A pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Hawthorne."

Felicia didn't bother correcting the title and politely shook his hand.

The group proceeded upstairs to Professor Schneider's independent studio, where the lesson would temporarily take place. Once inside the office, the professor assessed Anne's background. She was too young to have received formal financial intelligence training, but having spent so much time by Max's side, she had naturally absorbed a great deal. Professor Schneider asked her a few simple questions, and Anne answered them effortlessly. Having interacted with many children from wealthy families, the professor honestly felt that the Hawthorne family's little lady was the most brilliant child he had encountered so far. Of course, with such superior genetics from her parents, it was hard for the child to fall short.

After their discussion, Max knelt in front of Anne. "Be a good girl in class, Anne. Mommy and Daddy will come pick you up this afternoon."

"Okay," Anne chirped.

As Felicia said goodbye, Anne suddenly grabbed her hand. "What is it, sweetie?"

"Mommy has to come pick me up with Daddy, okay?"

Felicia gently stroked Anne's head. "Mommy knows."

Max and Felicia walked out of the building together.

"I'll come back after Anne finishes her class," Felicia said.

"Alright, I'll follow you to wherever you're going, and we can come back together later," Max replied, his tone incredibly nonchalant.

Felicia halted abruptly and turned to glare at him. "Max, can you stop being so unreasonable?"

Max stared down at her, his expression serious. "You can just ignore it."

"Am I blind?"

"I'm in a bad mood right now. What do you want me to do?" Max retorted.

"That's your own problem. Deal with it yourself," Felicia shot back.

With that, she turned and strode briskly toward the exit.

Darin, who had been waiting in the lobby, saw them emerge one after the other. Max wore that familiar look of someone who had been offended, yet he lacked his usual domineering arrogance. He simply trailed behind Felicia, staring at her with a somewhat resentful gaze. Felicia didn't look too pleased either. Darin had no idea what drama Max was stirring up this time.

Felicia walked straight out of the main doors, while Darin watched Max detour toward the public lounge area and sit rigidly on a sofa, refusing to move.
