Too Late For Regrets, Mr. Billionaire (Brianna Meyers and Brandon Levy) novel Chapter 102

Chapter 102

Chapter 102

A red luxury car pulled up outside Horizon Group.

A security guard from the complex jogged over.

He tapped on the driver’s window.

“Sorry, you can’t park here. The parking lot’s over there,” the guard said.

But the driver ignored him.

The driver got out and opened the rear door for a woman.

A glamorous lady stepped out, decked out in designer jewelry.

She took off her sunglasses.

A mocking smile played at her lips.

This building? Her son had it custom-designed by an architect just for him.

And now he just gave it away to her, like it was no big deal?

But the woman didn’t think her son was the one at fault here.

‘This girl’s something else,’ she thought.

‘She snagged the CEO of Levy Group and now has my son totally wrapped around her finger.

‘It’s been years since I last saw her. Guess it’s time to size her up,’ she thought.

It was Zoe, Tristan’s mom.

Zoe marched right upstairs and demanded, “Where’s Brianna’s office?”

“Where’s Brianna’s office?” she repeated.

Her bold entrance made the coworkers exchange looks.

‘Who’s this now? Another one here to stir things up?’ they thought.

Someone replied, “Ms. Meyers didn’t come in today.”

Zoe was just about to speak when Patsy walked in.

“Mrs. Pratt, what brings you here?” Patsy asked, her eyes wide in surprise.

eing Zoe.

“Oh, Patsy,” Zoe said, her attitude instantly less haughty now that she recognized a familiar face.

Patsy knew exactly what was going on.

First, Nancy, and now Zoe, both showed up to see Brianna.

‘Tristan must’ve done something to stir up all this drama,’ Patsy thought.

“Just stopping by for a look around? What made you decide to visit us today?” Patsy asked, offering Zoe a graceful way to explain herself.

At this, Zoe calmed down a bit.

Her expression also softened.

“Yeah, just came by to take a look. Tristan mentioned you guys were here, so I thought I’d drop in,” she replied.

“Welcome, welcome! It’s not every day we get to see you. You’re always so busy. It’s truly an honor to have you here. Please, right this way,” Patsy said, laying it on thick.

Patsy kept piling on the flattery for Zoe.

As the saying goes, one never strikes a smiling face.

A little sweet talk never hurts.

And sure enough, Zoe flashed a pleased smile.

Patsy led her into the office.

She poured her a cup of coffee.

Then Patsy asked, “Mrs. Pratt, is there something I can help you with today?”

Zoe knew Patsy was sharp.

So she didn’t bother beating around the bush.

“You know about Tristan and Nancy, right?” she asked.

“Last night, my husband just lost his mind and insisted on marrying Tristan off to Nancy. They’re supposed to get engaged next month, and I’m desperate. I had no choice but to come here and see if you could help me figure this out,” Zoe said.

She came in guns blazing, all set to have it out with Brianna face-to-face.

But once she stepped inside, she realized no matter what, Brianna was the first lady of the business world.

If things blew up, there’d be no graceful way out.

Patsy smiled.

“Brianna’s wonderful, too. Honestly, back then, I had my eye on both you and her. I liked you both so much could never decide,” she admitted.

At this, Patsy laughed so hard she nearly fell out of her chair.

“Brianna’s kid is already in elementary school!” she said, still cracking up.

Zoe watched Patsy, who seemed so carefree and unconcerned, and her suspicions started to bubble up.

‘Does she really not know, or is she just playing dumb?’ Zoe couldn’t help but wonder.

Realizing her probing got her nowhere, Zoe got up and said her goodbyes.

She felt her heart racing, desperate to grab onto anything certain, anything she could trust.

As soon as Zoe walked out of Horizon Group, Patsy pulled out her phone and called Tristan.

“Hello?” Tristan answered, his voice tense and anxious.

“What’s going on, Mr. Groom-to-be?” Patsy joked.

Tristan was clearly irritated.

“Who says I’m the groom?” he snapped.

“Your mom just did!” Patsy teased.

“My mom? Where did you see her?” Tristan asked, his voice wary.

“Right here at Horizon Group!” Patsy replied.

“She went to see Brianna?” Tristan’s voice rose, tense.

“Yeah,” Patsy paused for a beat, “but she couldn’t find her.”

“She wasn’t there?” Tristan asked, sounding surprised.

“Nope, she went out with Clair to check out some office spaces,” Patsy replied.

Tristan felt annoyed.

‘Why is my dad always chasing after Brianna? Is he acting like a kid or something?’ Tristan grumbled to himself.

All this drama with Nancy was making things worse.

Lately, Tristan’s possessiveness toward Brianna was almost bursting at the seams.

“Oh, please, look who’s talking,” Patsy couldn’t help but tease, “What’s your deal with Brianna lately, huh?”

With Patsy, Tristan never bothered to hide anything.

“My old man has really been on my case lately. He’s hell-bent on marrying me off to Nancy,” he grumbled.

“Why?” Patsy asked, staying calm.

“Seems like my old man picked up on what’s going on with me,” Tristan said.

Patsy knew exactly what was on Tristan’s mind.

She could tell he was feeling pretty down.

Patsy was quiet for a bit.

After a while, she broke the silence.

“So, what are you going to do?” she asked.

“I’m never marrying Nancy,” Tristan said, his voice steely with determination.

Patsy took a deep breath.

“It’s not like Brianna and Brandon can just get divorced overnight,” she said.

“Even so, I’m not marrying Nancy,” Tristan said, firm as ever.

“Alright, just wanted to let you know your mom stopped by. Let’s leave it at that,” Patsy said.

With that, she hung up the phone.

She always kept things clear. She’d have her friends’ backs, no matter what.

But when it came to their business, she’d help out when needed but never push too far.

Never crossed the line, ever.

Last night, Tristan was about to walk into his house when his phone buzzed with a text from his mom.

“Hey, son, I was just about to call you,” she said.

“Mom, has the old man finally calmed down?” Tristan asked, sounding impatient.

“You know your dad. “He’s not gonna let you off the hook that easy,” she sighed.

“Did he say anything after that, Mom?” Tristan asked, sounding impatient.

He always had a healthy dose of fear when it came to his dad.

“He said you have to apologize to Nancy today, and the engagement is happening next month. Like it or r his mom told him.
