"He just can't get any photos that definitively prove an affair."

Seraphina took a deep breath, her face completely unreadable. She casually raised her glass and took another sip of wine.

"Tell him to keep tailing them."

Her voice was dead calm.

"As long as Dominic refuses to sign the divorce papers, I will not back down. If he wants to play it safe, I'll just be more patient. They'll slip up eventually. We'll get the proof."

"I'm not in a rush. He's the one who should be sweating."

Chelsea let out a sharp laugh.

"Look at you, Seraphina. You are so much stronger now than you used to be."

Seraphina offered a small smile, clinking her glass against Chelsea's.

"I just finally saw things clearly. I want this divorce, yes, but he definitely wants it more. I don't need to beg for it."

A cold, sharp light glinted in her eyes.

"Everything that belongs to me, I'm taking it back this time."

By the time Dominic returned home, the night had completely swallowed the city.

The motion-sensor lights in the foyer flickered on as he changed his shoes.

The nanny hurried out of the living room to greet him, holding a small towel.

Dominic pointed at Lily standing beside him. "Give her a bath. Make sure she goes to bed early," he ordered the nanny.

The nanny quickly nodded, taking Lily's hand to lead her toward the bathroom.

Lily had been falling asleep on the car ride home. Now, she was practically dead on her feet. Half-asleep, she mumbled, "Daddy."

Dominic didn't even look back.

He strode right past the living room and headed straight upstairs to his study.

Sitting down at his desk, he flipped open his laptop.

The moment the screen flared to life, a notification for unread emails popped up.

One of them was from Seraphina.

His eyes locked onto the sender's name.

He clicked it open.

After reading the contents, a harsh scoff escaped his lips.

Three hundred million dollars. That woman actually thought that was too little?

His jaw clenched tightly, his fingers curling into a fist.
