Walking Away While Pregnant: Dear Ex-Husband, I Don't Love You Anymore novel Chapter 203

Chapter 203: Chapter 203

Sitting on a wooden chair, Aaron paused mid-drag on his cigarette. He lazily raised his eyelids, casting a cold, derisive smirk at the bound woman in front of him.

"You’re already tied to a pillar, and you’re still daydreaming?"

Flurina ignored him entirely, her eyes glued feverishly to the stairwell. As the sound of heavy footsteps grew closer, the fanatical anticipation in her eyes deepened.

Seeing her pathetic state, Aaron scoffed in disgust. He tossed his cigarette onto the concrete floor and ground it out beneath the heavy heel of his combat boot.

The footsteps crested the top of the stairs.

Dylan walked in first, with Oliver following half a step behind.

"Dylan!" Seeing the man enter, Flurina’s face lit up with undisguised, obsessive devotion. "You finally came! I’ve been waiting for you for so long!"

Dylan cast a faint glance toward her, his gaze utterly devoid of warmth.

"I finally get why we caught her so easily this time," Aaron said, walking over and slapping a hand onto Dylan’s shoulder. "Turns out the aftereffects of your honey trap are still running strong."

Dylan shot him a sharp look. "Did you break her?"

Aaron shrugged nonchalantly. "Look at the way she stares at you. Do you think my interrogation would work on a woman who’s completely infatuated?"

Ignoring Aaron’s banter, Dylan turned and walked directly toward Flurina.

Despite being tied up, Flurina showed no sense of defeat. Her gray eyes remained fixed on Dylan with unsettling intensity. "Dylan, I wouldn’t have been caught so easily. I let them capture me on purpose—because I desperately wanted to see you."

"Now you’ve seen me," Dylan said, his face cold and expressionless. "And?"

"I want to defect to your side!" Flurina urged, her tone surprisingly firm. "I can give you intel! You’ve already looked into my background, so you know I was trained directly inside their organization. I can become your operative!"

"An agent of your rank doesn’t hold high-level intelligence," Dylan exposed her directly, his voice cutting like a razor. "They had you impersonate Fleur. For five years, you frequented nightclubs, pretending to mess around with various men. In reality, your direct handler was among them."

Flurina nodded rapidly. "Yes! That way, even if you investigated me, you would only think I led a messy private life and never suspect my true identity! But Dylan, I was just acting for them! I never let any of them touch me for real—the only person I’ve ever loved is you!"

"Ha! That actually made me laugh out loud!" Aaron stepped forward, staring down at her with pure disgust. "Do you even remember how many abortions you’ve had in the last five years? Or is this how women trained by your organization operate—keeping your heart ’pure’ while your body does the rest?"

"I..." Struck right in her sore spot, Flurina turned pale. Refusing to argue with Aaron, she locked her gaze tightly back onto Dylan.

"Dylan, I know someone with my background isn’t worthy of you. I’ve thought about this a lot lately... Since the mission failed, even if you don’t kill me, the organization won’t let me live. In that case, why won’t you trust me just once for the sake of my love for you? For you, I’m willing to risk everything. I want to fight side by side with you!"

"My, my, listen to that! I’m almost moved to tears!" Aaron mocked with a bitter chuckle, turning to Dylan. "What about you? As the main character receiving such a passionate confession, how do you feel?"

Dylan’s expression remained entirely impassive as he looked at Flurina. "Anyone can speak sweet words. If you want to follow me, show me real sincerity first."

Hearing a sliver of hope, Flurina spoke frantically, "What do you want to know? As long as I know it, I’ll tell you everything!"

"In the past five years, aside from your direct handler, did you have contact with anyone else in the organization?"
