When They Beg I Rise (Lemira) novel Chapter 1128

Just as Lemira opened her mouth to argue, Orion grabbed her hand. "If they're so confident, let them try," he murmured.

Feeling the steady warmth of Orion's palm, Lemira slowly calmed down.

She looked back up at her brothers. "Fine. You have one week. If you get nothing, you hand him over to me."

Rowan's eyes darted to their intertwined hands, his expression instantly darkening. "Orion, let her go! Who gave you permission to put your hands on her?"

Suddenly, the rest of the brothers zeroed in on their clasped hands.

Lemira boldly held her ground. "He's not 'putting his hands on me'."

Rowan's jaw tightened. "But didn't you two break up?"

"Who says you can't get back together after a breakup?" Lemira shot back.

Lucian looked genuinely stunned. "You guys got back together?"

But he didn't really need an answer; the way they were holding hands said it all. Lucian quietly sighed to himself. Their little sister had truly been snatched up by another man.

Lemira swung their joined hands slightly. "Isn't it obvious?"

Lucian offered a helpless, wistful smile. "We get it, we can see it. But are you absolutely sure? You're still so young. There's no need to lock yourself down this fast."

Caspian also looked visibly disgruntled. "He's right. There are countless exceptional guys out there. You should date around a bit. Who knows, you might find someone infinitely better."

Lemira hadn't expected them to say anything like that.

Hearing their blatant disrespect, Orion's face darkened with dangerous intensity. Did these men genuinely believe they had any right to dictate Lemira's choices?

Lemira instantly stepped in front of Orion, shielding him from her brothers. "Orion is incredible. There is no one better than him in this entire world."
