You Had Me, You Lost Me, You'll Never Find Me novel Chapter 79

At the hospital, in a private VIP room.

Reina lay in her hospital bed, lazily eating fruit off a skewer. She had only been admitted for a few days, but the entire room had already been completely transformed.

The coffee table was piled high with expensive snacks, and a massive plush doll—Reina's absolute favorite—rested on the bed. The room was scattered with warm, aesthetic decorations, giving it a cozy, feminine vibe. Ryan Winslet had meticulously arranged everything himself.

When Connor walked in, Reina immediately dropped her fruit skewer, instantly reverting to a fragile, weak demeanor. But upon realizing it was just Connor, a look of visible disappointment crossed her face.

"Why are you here? Ash didn't come?"

She had just posted an update vaguely hinting that she wasn't feeling well, specifically to get Ashton's attention.

Connor didn't seem to care. He stepped right up to her bed. "What? Is it a crime for me to visit?"

Reina ignored him and went back to scrolling on her phone. She didn't expect him to suddenly snatch it right out of her hands. She panicked. "What are you doing?"

Connor casually read the group chat open on her screen. One of the messages said: "That last post blew up. Time to drop the next piece of dirt. Start slowly leaking the news that brands are terminating her contracts."

Seeing that Connor was reading her screen, Reina's face went sheet white.

"Give that back!"

A playful smirk curled on Connor's lips. "Think you can hide this? You're playing dirty behind the scenes, aren't you terrified of getting caught?"

Reina forced down the rising panic in her chest and glared at him. "What does it matter to you? Are you going to run and tell someone?"

Connor casually tossed the phone back to her. "I won't tell a soul. But you really should stop doing this yourself."

Reina immediately locked her phone, her tone turning cold. "Mind your own business."

Connor leisurely took a seat on the leather sofa nearby, even using a toothpick to grab a strawberry from her plate.

"If you wanted to destroy her, you should have just told me. I could have helped you."

The internet was ablaze with demands to strip her of her Best Supporting Actress nomination.

She had been trending for two days straight.

Even Valerie Logan, who barely used the internet, had caught wind of it.

"Sylvia, didn't you tell me you broke up with the Wyatt boy? Why are you guys back together and making such a massive, embarrassing mess?"

Sylvia took a deep breath. "We are broken up."

Valerie immediately started nagging. "I heard he's already engaged to Reina. You need to stop getting involved. He and Reina are a match made in heaven, you can't compete with her in any way..."

"What exactly are you trying to say?" Sylvia cut her off.

Valerie awkwardly paused. "I don't mean anything by it. I just heard that Reina was in a car accident in the past, right? I just wanted to ask... is there any chance her legs will ever fully recover?"
