My eyes fluttered shut as well, and I wasn’t sure why in the hell they had done that, but for a suspended moment, I found myself waiting, waiting to feel his lips against mine.

Waiting for the tiny space between us to finally disappears, instead I was met with a splash. My eyes flew open,/my brows hitched in disbelief when I realised that he had shoved me backward so quickly the water had sloshed violently around us.

The sudden distance had me frozen in place and for a second neither of us uttered a word as his eyes widened in absolute horror

Okay..are we back at this again.

“Oh God,” the word leaves him in a breath, and my raised a brow at him. “I’m sorry..” he says, the apology coming fast that it almost overlapped with itself.

His face had now gone completely red. “No, I..I..sorry.”

I stared at him. “What are you apologizing for?”

“I wasn’t..I mean, I was, but I wasn’t trying to..” he stops again, dragging his hand through his wet hair.

He groaned, the panic on his face was so real that I had almost forgotten what had just happened

“Caelum..”

“I shouldn’t have..I don’t..I was about to..” his words were completely tangled together. “I should have asked,” the words burst out of him and for a moment I was genuinely confused. His face had become even redder than they were few seconds ago. “I didn’t ask if that was okay.”

“Oh.” I muttered out when I realized what he meant and why he was panicking.

“You clearly haven’t made any attempt to..you know, and I don’t know what I was thinking,” his voice cracked. “You also probably don’t want to…”

I bite down on my lips trying not to smile, knowing he was panicking because he thought I wouldn’t want to kiss me and he hadn’t asks for my consent before trying to.

Okay..that sweetness of his makes me want to do thing I had no business wanting to do.

“Caelum, relax. Deep breath.” He surprisingly listened this time, taking deep breaths like I had asked him to. His ears though were red at this point and his gaze moved from mine to the water

Before he could get lost in his thoughts, I moved, closing the space between us, till we were barely a feet away.

“You know, the only reason why I never kissed you, or make any attempt to was because I thought maybe you won’t want that.” That got his attention, his head snapping up immediately.

“What?”

I shrugged, “I figured you wanted your first kiss to be special, assuming you haven’t done that yet.” The blush that spread from his cheek down his neck was a enough answer I needed to know that I was right. “Right. So I guessed I assumed you wanted to have this with Olivia.”

For a second he just stared at me, completely speechless. “I.” nothing else came out, and his hand immediately covered a part of his face. “Please stop looking at me.”

I rolled my eyes, but a smile tugged at the corner of my lips at how shy he was about this. “No.” I said, teasing him.

“Delilah..” he mutters, letting out a helpless groan, before peeking at me through his fingers.

The sight was ridiculous that I almost smiled again. “If it makes you feel better,” I said, “all you had to do was ask.”

His hand dropped, hitting againt the water. “What.”

I shrugged casually. “If you wanted me to kiss, Caelum, you could have just asked.”

The silence that followed was immediate, as he froze, his wide and every thought seemed to have left his body. I watched him process my words and failing.

“You…” he gulp, his breath catches when I closed the little distance between us.

My hands found their way round his neck again as I bring him closer to face, feeling his uneven breaths fan across my lips while mine curved into a smirk.

Tilting my head slightly to the side, I asked. “Do you want to kiss me, Caelum.”

The question hung between us as he remains completely still, his eyes drifted down to my lips staying there for a second too long.

“I..” he gulps, slowly nodding his head.

I leaned in even more, so closeto his lips to the point where I can feel the softness of them against my own but not fully. “What did I say about using words.” I asked, my tongue coming out to lick his bottom lips and I feel him shiver beneath me.

My eyes trail up to meet his, seeing the haziness in his, and I could tell he was barely hanging there. But I wanted him to say those word, wanted to hear him ask me to kiss him, so that I could pour out every wicked thoughts I had into his lips, kissing over and over until the like between where I ended and he began no longer existed.

“I want to kiss you Delilah, I want you to be my first kiss.” he finally says, his face flushed red as his eyes drifted from mine down to my lips again.

I use my index finger to lift his chin, till our eyes meet again. “Then kiss me Carlin,” I said, watching as the nervousness takes over his features and doubt begins to circle his eyes. “I’m not stopping you.”

“I..I don’t know..” he stuttered out, his gaze dropping briefly, “I wouldn’t want to ruin it. Can you..please…” his words dissolves into a nervous silence, his lips parted, waiting for me and everything slowly fades into the background.

I run my index finger over his bottom lip, his emerald eyes turning a shade darker and the look of want and need in his eyes.

“Can I do what?” I pushed further, wanting the words to run through my ears.

“Can you please kiss me, Delilah.” I could hear the plead and desperation in his tone which was a enough for me to closed the little gap between us, our lips molding together.

Caelum followed my lead, allowing me control of the kiss, I went slow at first before his hands shot to my thighs and found their place on my hips.

He’s learning

This brought a smile against his lips, using my tongue to swipe over his bottom lip, and he lets out a deep throat sound that caused my a pulse between my thighs, my abdomen to become tight.
