Chapter 34
“What are you doing here?”
Caelum’s voice rang across the back room of the library before I could even take another step inside.
I paused at the door, trying to stop the frown from making its way to my face. “What, no hello?”
His brow furrows behind his glasses as he set down uis paintbrush. “Our turtoring session isn’t until tomorrow.”

Yeah, it was already Friday, which meant we had no session today, still I was done with this cat and mouse game he had going on.
“I know,” shutting the door behind me, I make my way fully into the room.
“Then why are you here?”
I don’t bother answering immdiatetly, as my gaze wanders over him instead, taking in the sight of his sleeves rolled up to his elbow, exposing his forearm that was streaked with paint.
Blue and white spot decorated the bottom of his shirt while more paint stained his fingers. Clearly, he had been completely absorbed in whatever painting he was working on right untill I walked in.
“I wanted to see you.” My response was simple and it seems to catch him off guard.
His grips tightens around his paintbrush. “Oh.”
Slowly I made my way towards him, and he shifts a bit, moving the canvas slightly to the side, leaving me with no clue as to what he was painting.
“Besides, someone has been suspiciously difficult to find lately.” His expression immediately shifts.
“I haven’t.”
“Yes, you have.”
“No, I..”
“You have been avoiding me.” The accusation makes him look away and that alone was enough confirmation. I stopped right beside him, crossing my arms.
“I told you already, something came up…”
“With you family.” I completed with a small smile, and his attention drifted back to me again. Watching my every move carefully. “But that was like three days ago.” I carried on, taking a seat on a couch beside the stool, crossing my legs over the other right in front of him.
“Are you really going to play it as you having a family issue, or are you going to tell me why you have been avoiding me since our kiss in the pool. Don’t tell me you already regret giving your first kiss to me.” I raised a brow, seeking answers, but my question only causes him to frown.
“What..no, I do not regret it at all. It’s all I can think..about honestly, and how much it felt nice.” He rubs a hand over the back of his neck nervously, looking away. “I just..I just thought maybe you wouldn’t want to continue because a lot of what we are doing is my first…” he reveals, his eyes dropping to the floor once more.
My brow hitched together, wondering why he would think that. I mean the main reason why we were doing it was his lack of experience, so why was he affected by that now.

I didn’t have the time to dwell on my thoughts when he gers up from the stool, and instantly, I reached over, my arm grabbing his, pulling him down into me.
And in an instant, I could feel his hardness press against me, making me bite at the inside of my lips, stopping myself from smiling.
“No more ignoring me, if something is bothering you, it’s best to speak it out and get rid of all your concern. How about that?” His gaze wandered round my face, dropping to my lips for a second too long before giving a head nod.
