Betrayed by the Father Reborn in His Rival's Arms novel Chapter 135

Lucius drove back to the hospital where Liliana was admitted.

Grant rushed over the second he saw Lucius approach.

But when he realized Lucius had returned alone, without the renowned surgeon, his face darkened instantly.

"Lucius, where is Dr. Dyson?"

Grant's face twisted with deep dissatisfaction over Lucius's failure to secure the doctor for his daughter.

Lucius made a quick phone call. A moment later, a foreign man dressed in a white coat walked in. He was quite young, with short brown hair, glasses, and a broad, muscular build.

This was clearly not Dr. Dyson.

Lucius made the introductions. "Grant, this is Dr. Julian Herbort. He is a senior specialist in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine with an international reputation for treating athletic trauma. Although he's younger, he has served as the lead surgeon for national athletes. For Liliana's condition, his expertise is just as formidable as Dr. Dyson's."

Before Lucius could finish, Grant suddenly raised his hand and swung hard.

Slap!

A vicious backhand struck Lucius directly across the face.

"What did you promise me and Lily?" Grant roared. "We told you her condition specifically requires Dr. Dyson, or she'll face amputation! And you didn't even take it seriously! You dragged in some second-rate amateur to brush us off! I never thought you were this kind of man. You've completely disappointed me!"

Lucius narrowed his eyes, his brow furrowing as he absorbed the stinging pain across his cheek.

He never expected Grant to have the audacity to hit him.
