Buying My Forever Wife novel Chapter 126

Judging by her outfit today, she was dressed head-to-toe in glamorous designer brands.

She clearly came from a wealthy background.

She and Alaric really did look like a match made in heaven.

"My uncle? Having female friends?"

Ethan shot the idea down with absolute certainty.

"You must be mistaken. Ever since my uncle got Stella, he has been completely celibate."

"Just a while ago, my grandma set him up on a blind date, and he verbally eviscerated the woman until she left."

"In all these years, none of us have ever seen a woman by his side. So this Dr. Sinclair is at best just Stella's pediatrician. There is zero chance she's his actual friend."

Ivy was speechless.

Was Ethan really that certain?

Elena couldn't even qualify as Alaric's friend?

But Elena had just told her that Alaric asked her to wait for him.

Suddenly, it clicked for Ivy.

Elena was likely just marking her territory, warning her not to entertain any wild fantasies about Alaric.

Or maybe it was all just Elena's one-sided obsession?

"Come here, let me tell you a secret."

Ethan waved Ivy over.

Ivy cautiously leaned in.

Ethan leaned close to her ear and whispered softly.

"Let me tell you, I seriously doubt Stella is even his biological daughter. You know, he went on a business trip abroad and came back shortly after with Stella, claiming she was his kid.

My grandma wanted to get a paternity test done, but my uncle flat-out refused. He immediately moved out with Stella and refused to let anyone near her."

Looking thoroughly suspicious, he lowered his voice even further.

"I genuinely suspect my uncle is gay, and he's just raising a kid for his boyfriend."

Ivy's eyes went wide, her jaw practically hitting the floor.

She simply couldn't believe what Ethan was saying.

It couldn't be true.

If a man was gay, how could he have possibly done what he did to her that night?

So that piece of gossip was definitely completely bogus.

She headed to the oncology ward and preemptively paid a hundred grand toward her sister's medical bills.

Only then did she head up to the room to see her.

Because the chemotherapy was making her lose her hair, Gemma Sawyer had just shaved it all off. Wearing a beanie, she sat propped up against the headboard, typing away on her laptop.

Ivy stepped forward and gently pulled off her sister's beanie. Seeing her completely bald head, Ivy's eyes instantly stung with tears.

But Gemma just flashed her an optimistic smile.

"Ivy, doesn't this make me look super edgy?"

Ivy reached out and pulled her into a tight hug, forcing a lie.

"Just focus on getting better. Your brother-in-law heard you were sick and specifically transferred a hundred grand to me. He said to ask for more if it isn't enough, so absolutely do not worry about the money."

Hearing this, Gemma tilted her head and looked at her sister.

"He's that amazing?"

Ivy let out a bitter smile. "Yeah. If nothing else, he's incredibly generous when it comes to money."

Overflowing with gratitude, Gemma looked at her sister with an innocent plea.

"Then why don't you pick a day and invite him out so we can all have dinner together? I'd love to see what my brother-in-law looks like."
