Ivy followed Mrs. Gable to the hospital room.

Sure enough, she saw Stella lying on the bed, her head wrapped in white gauze.

Alaric was sitting right beside the bed.

Elena was there, too.

Ivy walked in behind Mrs. Gable, standing off to the side, not daring to make a sound.

Mrs. Gable stepped forward. "Sir, I brought the things you asked for."

Alaric then noticed Ivy standing there.

He stood up, letting Mrs. Gable change the child's clothes, and shot Ivy a glare, his voice dropping to freezing temperatures.

"What are you doing here? Go home."

He would never entrust his daughter to this woman again.

She only ever cared about flirting with other men, completely disregarding his daughter's safety.

She had absolutely zero sense of responsibility. He couldn't fathom what Stella even liked about her.

Ivy had stayed up all night. She was exhausted, drained, and her eyes were terribly red and swollen.

Seeing that Stella was indeed found and injured, her heart remained suspended in worry. She looked at Alaric and asked,

"How is she? Is the injury serious?"

"She hasn't woken up since last night, what do you think?"

Alaric's attitude was hostile.

Consumed with guilt and self-blame, Ivy pleaded,

"Please let me stay and keep her company, okay?"

"No."

Alaric coldly issued an eviction order. "From now on, Stella's affairs are none of your business. Get out of here right now. I don't want to see you."

Ivy's heart twisted in agony.

Looking at Stella lying there unconscious, her little head bound in bandages...

Her heart ached so much she couldn't bear to leave.

Standing nearby, Elena feigned friendliness, chiming in to persuade him,

"Alaric, Ivy probably didn't do it on purpose. Just forgive her this once."

Alaric remained expressionless. "I've given her enough chances. If she can't even watch a kid, what use is she?"

He coldly ordered again, "I told you to leave. Are you deaf?"
