He figured Elena wouldn't dare try to scam him again.
After all, Mason was an incredible catch, and unlike Alaric, he didn't come with the baggage of a child. Any woman with half a brain would choose the wealthy, unattached bachelor.
As long as the hospital confirmed Stella was fully cured, Elena had outlived her usefulness.
"This is all your fault. I hate you."
After throwing out her complaint, Ivy hurriedly asked,
"Are they at Foster Medical Center? I need to go over and be with Stella."
Thinking back to last night made her blood boil.
Her entire perspective of Mr. Foster had drastically shifted.
He wasn't some refined, gentlemanly scholar at all.
In bed, he was a savage, relentless wolf with absolutely no boundaries. When the mood struck, he did exactly whatever he pleased, completely ignoring her limits.
Even thinking about it now sent a shiver of dread down her spine.
"How am I terrible? Isn't it a good thing I let you sleep in?"
Hearing the girl's pouty, affectionate complaints actually put Alaric in an incredibly good mood.
He found himself reluctant to hang up, wanting nothing more than to listen to her scold him a bit longer.
"You're just awful! I don't want to look at you for the next two days. Hurry up and tell me which hospital Stella is at so I can go keep her company."
Ivy was still holding a grudge.
Alaric patiently explained,
"I accidentally hurt you last night, so just stay home and rest. I've already arranged for everything regarding Stella, so you don't need to worry."
Fearing she would get bored sitting around the house all day, he added a suggestion.
"If you have nothing to do, go to the gym. Your stamina is absolutely terrible. You need to work out and build up your endurance."
She needed to be in shape to handle their marital activities.
Alaric never expected himself to crave intimacy this intensely, but he also knew he wouldn't touch just anyone.
Ivy was his sole exception.
"Once I build up my endurance, you're the first person I'm going to beat up! I'll beat your teeth in! I refuse to speak to you anymore. Goodbye."
