He stuck out his small tongue, gently licking the melted drops off his hand, before proceeding to devour all three ice creams Bella had bought him in one sitting.
A stomachache?
Whatever.
He hadn't had ice cream in ages, and besides, Bella had bought these for him.
After finishing them, he tore open a packet of spicy snacks.
Nobody except Bella ever bought him these things anymore.
Sitting alone on a stone bench in the backyard, Noah polished off the entire bag. He tossed the wrappers into a trash can meant for the staff, then sneaked back to his room.
The staff all had their own duties, and since he couldn't leave the villa, they rarely bothered him as long as he was inside.
Because of this, no one noticed a thing, and Noah comfortably stayed in his room.
Until...
His stomach began to cramp. The pain became so intense that he rolled around on his bed in agony, finally alerting the staff, who rushed in.
Sebastian Blake was in the middle of a crucial meeting when he received the call.
He frowned as Lester Ross handed him the phone.
Lester had informed him the situation was urgent, which was the only reason Sebastian had paused the meeting to step outside.
The moment he answered, he barked, "How are you people taking care of him? Didn't I tell you to meticulously monitor his meals?
Why does he suddenly have a stomachache? Where's Dr. Harrison? Call him immediately."
Pinching the bridge of his nose, Sebastian listened.
The person on the other end explained that they had already called Dr. Harrison, but Noah's condition seemed severe, which was why they notified him immediately.
"I understand. I have a very important meeting right now. I'll wrap it up as quickly as possible and head back."
Without wasting another second, Sebastian tossed the phone back to Lester. "Keep an eye on the situation at the house. If anything goes wrong, let me know instantly."
Just as he said that, something seemed to click in Sebastian's mind.
He paused mid-step before re-entering the conference room.
The Mercer family had easily gained entry into the estate once again.
However, they were still denied access to the main hall of Villa One.
Upon arrival, they were led straight into the gardens.
Unsurprisingly, Lillian, Leonard Prescott, Eleanor Lancaster, Ethan Hayes, and the rest were gathered around the table having breakfast.
This was the usual crowd that occupied the dining table at Halfridge Villas.
Today, Eleanor was wearing another brand-new, ultra-luxurious designer outfit.
Even though she was mentally unstable, she had been blessed with striking beauty.
Dressed in the world's most extravagant clothes, as long as she didn't speak or make sudden movements, she looked perfectly normal.
But after witnessing yesterday's events, everyone knew she only looked fine on the outside.
In reality, she was still a complete lunatic!
