No matter how disappointed Old Mrs. Blake was in her son's recent decisions, Sebastian still carried the family's legacy. Any filth that clung to him would inevitably stain the Blake name.

Sebastian was sharp enough to understand the gravity of her warning. He gave a curt nod and walked out.

Once the door clicked shut, Old Mr. Blake let out a heavy sigh.

Old Mrs. Blake frowned, tapping her manicured fingers against her armrest. "We should delay the world tour. With this hanging over our heads, we need to stay and hold the fort. If things spiral out of control, we might be the only ones capable of containing the fallout."

Old Mr. Blake nodded grimly. "Agreed. Let's just hope the boy uses his head. That woman is a plague. Sebastian has to be holding onto decades of resentment. If he actually wanted to protect her, he would have locked her in a safe house months ago. Leaving her out in the wind was his way of letting her suffer. He's not fooling anyone."

They were all on the same page. The elderly couple hated Debbie just as fiercely as Sebastian did. If someone else did the dirty work of punishing her—without implicating the Blake family—it was a win-win situation.

"He's sat in the CEO chair long enough to know how to handle gutter rats like this," Old Mr. Blake muttered. "Let's wait and see how this plays out."
