Julian POV

“Dave,” I said calmly. “You need to calm down. What happened?”

Dave held a folder and handed it to me. When I opened it, I saw Sinclair’s face. She was smiling, and my heart ached.

“It’s Sinclair,” I noted.

“This was taken two days ago, Alpha.”

My eyes snapped up. “Two days ago? Where?”

“Blackstone.”

The room feels like it suddenly wants to start spinning. “Are you sure this was taken two days ago?”

“Yes, one of the scouts took the picture and sent it to me. He confirmed she is alive, and so is Angelo. They are both at Blackstone.”

I looked at the picture. She is inside a building and can be seen laughing through a window. She faked her death. She and Angelo both faked their deaths. They lied to me. She lied to me. She said she was accepting me as her Alpha. That she was going to be my Luna; she never intended to stay by my side. She took Angelo with her.

Suddenly, everything Micah told me is starting to connect. Angelo did, in fact, set up Condor. Sinclair played along. She must have known Angelo was the one who came up with Condor. She was complicit in the lie.

I paid her to lie to me. She played me like a fool. I honestly gave her my heart, and she crushed it! That bitch!

My anger is rising. “She gave us servers to stop the virus from spreading, but ‘died’, and none of us could figure it out.”

“Alpha, she lied to you. It wouldn’t surprise me if she were the one who loaded the virus from the beginning,” Dave said.

That got my attention. Is she Condor? Did Angelo know? I immediately called Micah.

“Yes, alpha?”

“Find the origin point of the latest virus. Did it come from an internal source within the pack? Let me know what you find.”

I hung up, and I was so angry that I swiped everything off my desk. “ARGH!!!” I screamed.

“How do you want me to proceed, Alpha?”

“As soon as I get confirmation from Micah, then we'll ready the warriors and tools. We are going to Blackstone. I am finishing this and making Sinclair pay for deceiving me.”
