His plump mate (Rebel and Austin) by Buchanan novel Chapter 601

Adrian POV

I have been searching the northwest region for days. The warehouse carried Sinclair’s scent, but her trail was lost. Aiden has been with me this entire time. Kaia has been running the background on everything, and Isaiah has been running Blackstone with Jonah and Rory, while Aric is running Ironclaw.

I’m exhausted, but it pales in comparison to the worry I feel. What if she pulls what Amber did to me? What if she falls for some trick?

‘For fuck’s sake! Sinclair might be insecure about us, but she is no traitor, Adrian!’ Thor yelled at me. ‘She would never do anything to hurt the pack. She would rather cut ties. Hell, she did cut ties and disappeared. Amber came back and then made our life hell.’

‘I can’t help it, Thor. Sinclair did what Amber did. She ran and didn’t say anything. Amber fell for a trap, and I’m terrified to go through that again. I don’t think I’d survive it a second time.’

‘Because you finally figured out you are in love with Sinclair. It was obvious to everyone else but you. When we find her, you better tell her or I’m taking over and beating the hell out of you!’

I closed him out. He’s right, though. Sinclair leaving felt like she ripped my soul from me. I am completely in love and totally fucked. I’m angry, nervous, scared, terrified, and at the same time, all I can think about is having her in my arms again. It took her leaving for me to get my head straight finally.

Aiden and I are driving through small towns. Kaia thought that might be worth looking at, because if she had to disappear, she would pick some place remote. Which I could tell Isaiah was keeping all of that information for himself if Kaia ever tried to leave him. I think Isaiah would lose his mind, too. I’m willing to bet he would go feral.

“I don’t see any sign of Sinclair here, bro. Are you catching her scent at all?” Aiden asked.

I sighed. “No. I don’t think she is here either. The next small town is three hours away. She certainly knows how to hide.”

Aiden smiled. “I wouldn’t be surprised if you tied her to the bed once you do find her.”

I shook my head. I know he is trying to get me to laugh at some crazy idea, but honestly, I might tie her up until she learns to talk to me. I don’t want this to keep happening.

“Brother, we will find her. Kaia and Thalia are both working on getting her location.”

“Who knew that you, Isaiah, and I would all have mates that were hitmen? You can’t make this stuff up.”

Aiden chuckled. “We aren’t bored. That’s for sure.”

“Get there as fast as you can and go to the town hospital. Sinclair is there. She changed her name to Kendra Smith.”

Aiden heard her and stepped on the gas. I turned my attention back to Kaia. “Why is she in the hospital?”

“I had feelers in the area. One spotted her coming back from the grocery store, but then she took defensive measures back into her own home. She took on Ronan and Candy but got shot in the process. The feeler knocked Ronan unconscious and grabbed Sinclair.”

I snarled. “HOW DID THEY GET TO HER BEFORE WE DID?!”

“First, do not yell,” she said. “Second, I have no idea. That’s why you guys need to get there and bring her back home.”

“On it!” Aiden called out. “We are twenty minutes from there. We will call you once we have our eyes on Sinclair.”

I hung up and gripped my phone. Ronan. I will not let him take another mate. I am going to kill that bastard. Thor is raging inside of me, wanting to come out and kill him too. I need to get to the hospital, and then I need to turn my attention to Ronan. Until he is dead, Sinclair isn’t safe, and neither are our pups.
