Aurora’s POV

“Eat your lunch.

Mia huffed. “Stingy.” But she dropped it.

Back at my workstation after lunch, the trending topic was still climbing. I scrolled through the comments – mostly normal reactions, a few asking whose track it was, a couple of accounts I recognized as motorsport bloggers already posting analysis.

Then Mia’s head popped over the partition again, phone in hand, thrust toward my face.

“Did you see the announcement? The track just posted an official notice.”

I took the phone.

It was a formal press release from the racing track’s management. Announcing exclusive training resources and a dedicated liaison for their newly acquired S–class beastman.

Below the text was a photo.

Silas. “Training finished early. I can pick you up.”

I stared at the screen. Typed. “You’re a trending topic now. You show up at my office, the whole building’s going to lose it.”

“I don’t care. I just want to go home with my owner.”

I laughed out loud. Mia glanced over. I waved her off.

Me. “Fine. Come. But keep it low–key. Wait near the building, don’t come inside.”

Silas. “Got it.”

Silas’s POV

I read her message twice and couldn’t stop grinning.

Footsteps behind me. Heels on tile.

“Silas.” Jessica stopped beside me, holding a manila folder. Her smile was clean, professional. “Do you have a minute? There are a few details about next week’s training schedule I need to confirm with you. Won’t take long.”

I checked the time. “Make it quick. I’ve got somewhere to be.”

She nodded and started walking. I followed – staying about two meters behind her the whole way.

Her office was down the hall from the training bay. She held the door open, stepped inside, and let it close behind us.

She sat behind her desk, opened the folder, flipped a page. Then another. Didn’t say anything.

I stood in front of the desk and waited. Thirty seconds. Still flipping.

“Which details?” I asked.

She closed the folder. Looked up at me. And her tone changed.

“You seem like you’re in a good mood today,” she said, leaning back in her chair. “Is it because of Aurora?”

I didn’t answer. Just watched her.
