Let’s Divorce Mrs. Wright Is Done Playing Nice novel Chapter 820

Chapter 820

People do not become close unless they have something in common.

Jennifer had not believed that before.

She had thought she was nothing like Stella.

She had even believed Leon was nothing like Evan.

But if they were so different, how could they have been such good friends?

The things Stella had done after being pushed to the edge…

Jennifer could do them too.

Leon’s harsh breathing came through the phone, cold with anger.

“Wait until I get back.”

“I can’t wait. Not even one minute.”

Wait?

Evan had once made Stella wait too.

And Stella had waited.

What had that gotten her?

So now that Leon was telling Jennifer to wait, there was no chance she would.

“I’m not waiting.”

“Do you have to do this?”

“Yes.”

Jennifer answered without hesitation.

Yes, she did.

He could leave with Monique.

So he had no right to interfere with whatever Jennifer chose to do next.

For the first time, Leon seemed to truly believe that Lennifer might actually do something extreme.

Finally, he said, “Put the housekeeper on ”

“You’re on speaker Go ahead.”

“Let her leave.”

“Yes, sir.”

After receiving Leon’s order, the housekeeper looked at Jennifer and stepped aside

Jennifer was satisfied with that result.

She had just started toward the door when Leon’s cold voice came through the phone again

“If you do anything to the baby, I’ll make you regret it.”

Jennifer went still.

Even now, he was still trying to threaten her?

“Why were you there?”

His tone was noticeably colder.

Jennifer had only arrived there last night.

And it was not even a house Leon used often.

How had Monique found it?

“Your mother asked me to go.”

Leon went quiet.

“You know why she sent me, don’t you? But I guess why I went doesn’t matter. Ms. Tanner got upset the moment she saw me

Leon said nothing.

Upset?

She had pulled a knife.

Of course she had been upset.

“Don’t worry,” Monique continued. “I know how to talk to your mother. I won’t let her dislike Ms. Tanner.”

Leon looked even more exasperated.

“She already dislikes her.”

What did Monique mean, she would not let his mother dislike Jennifer?

His mother already hated Jennifer enough.
