My CEO HUSBAND sign the divorce novel Chapter 327

Chapter 327: Desperate for love

My fingers trembled slightly.

I already knew what else was inside.

The cookie paper bag he gave me.

The positive pregnancy test.

Our baby’s first ultrasound picture.

Small memories...

I’d treasured more than anything else.

"Do you remember now?"

Alexander asked quietly.

I slowly looked up at him.

"How..."

"How did you find this?"

He remained silent for a moment before answering.

"After you disappeared..."

"I searched through everything you left behind."

"I thought I’d find a clue."

He lowered his eyes briefly.

"I never found one."

"But..."

"I found this instead."

I couldn’t help laughing softly.

"So..."

"That’s why you asked me whether I’d ever loved you."

He nodded.

"When did it start?"

I smiled faintly.

"The moment I moved into the Blackwood family mansion."

His brows knitted together.

"But..."

"We barely even spoke."

"You hardly looked at me."

"I know."

I chuckled.

"I think..."

"I was just a lonely girl searching for somewhere to place all the love I still had."

"After my father died, Nana and I became each other’s support."

"She was grieving Grandpa."

"I was grieving my parents."

"We comforted one another..."

"But there was still an emptiness inside me.

Then I transferred to the high school you’d graduated from."

"Even though you’d already left..."

"Your name was everywhere."

"Your achievements."

"Your photographs."

"The teachers spoke about you constantly."

"And every time you came home..."

"Even the smallest gesture from you felt important to me."

"I looked down with a smile."

"Before I realized it..."

"What began as admiration quietly became something much deeper."

Alexander stood silently.

Almost as if he were trying to imagine that lonely girl from years ago.

"Why didn’t you tell me?"

"Or at least give me a hint?"

I laughed softly.

"How could I?"

"You were still with Lilian."

"And even after she left, you always saw me as just the girl who suddenly became part of your family."

Pain flashed across his eyes.

He slowly stepped closer.

"I should’ve noticed."

I shook my head gently.

"Even if you had..."

"What could you have done?"

"Your heart belonged to someone else back then."

Without another word, he wrapped his arms around me.

Holding me close.

"So..."

"That’s why you hid everything."

"Even after we got married."

I rested my forehead against his shoulder.

"I was afraid."

"Afraid of hearing you reject me."

"I thought..."

"If you never knew..."

"Then maybe it wouldn’t hurt as much."

His arms tightened around me.

For a long moment...

He pulled back just enough to look at me.

"Come on, Alicia..."

"I’m still healing from the last time."

"I’ll be gentle this time, I promise."

Though he said it gently, the hungry look in his eyes told a completely different story.

Still, I couldn’t stop him as he lowered his head to the crook of my neck, placing soft kisses there before moving to the sensitive spot beneath my ear, gently nibbling at it.

He carried me into his arms and pinned my upper back against the bathroom wall beneath the flowing shower, his lips never leaving my neck.

He positioned my legs around his waist, and I instinctively wrapped them there.

I arched slightly against him, and he finally lifted his gaze.

He looked at me with those beautiful blue eyes, and I felt myself melting beneath the warm shower once again.

Soft moans and restrained groans filled the bathroom, almost drowning out the sound of the falling water.

The room gradually filled with mist from the hot shower as we remained wrapped in each other’s embrace until we were both completely spent.

By the time it was over, I felt utterly drained.

I glared at the person responsible, but he looked completely unaware of my complaint—far too satisfied with himself.

He gently washed me again, helped me get dressed, and carried me back to bed.

He placed a tender kiss on my forehead before murmuring,

"Rest now. I’ll shower and join you."

I nodded obediently as he turned and walked back into the bathroom.

Moments later, I felt the bed dip beneath his weight. Strong arms wrapped around me once again, and I found myself drifting off to sleep, surrounded by the warmth I was slowly growing accustomed to.

Alexander’s POV

When I woke up, Alicia was still sleeping peacefully beside me.

Careful not to wake her, I quietly got out of bed and headed downstairs to the gym.

After finishing my workout, I returned to our bedroom.

The bed was empty.

I heard the sound of running water coming from the bathroom and figured Alicia was taking her bath.

Only then did I realize I hadn’t taken my phone with me before going to the gym.

I walked over to my bedside drawer, but it wasn’t there.

Frowning, I searched around before my eyes landed on Alicia’s bedside table.

My phone was lying there beside hers, along with a glass of water and the supplements she took every day.

I must have placed it there after returning to the room last night and forgotten about it.

As I reached for my phone, my gaze drifted to the scattered bottles of supplements.

Wanting to tidy them up for her, I gathered them neatly before opening the drawer to put them away.

Just as I was about to close it...

My hand paused.

A small container sat quietly at the back of the drawer.

My brows furrowed.

I didn’t remember seeing it among her supplements before.

A strange uneasiness settled in my chest.

I picked it up.
