My Child and I Married a Billionaire novel Chapter 333

Chapter 333: Chapter 333: You’re Not Worthy

Damien Vaughn had someone pull up all the flight information for the Norden for the day, but there was no record of her purchasing a ticket.

He then had the high-speed rail system checked, and there was no record of a ticket purchase there either.

Those were the only two modes of transportation she would use, so the lack of any record meant she hadn’t left Veridia yet.

The two men breathed a sigh of relief. Damien Vaughn instructed the transportation authorities not to sell a ticket to Elsa, then started checking the subways and taxis.

They were busy from the afternoon until the middle of the night. They pulled every string they could, checked every possible mode of transport, and even looked through hotel check-in records, but there was still no sign of Elsa.

As they left the hotel in the middle of the night, there wasn’t a soul on the cold, deserted streets. Brandon Jacobs finally lost control.

"What the hell did your family do to her? What kind of horrible childhood trauma did you cause that made her so damn strange? Huh? One second she’s lying in bed with me, talking about everything under the sun, and the next she’s gone without a word. Fuck! If you can’t raise kids, then don’t have them! Fucking hell, bringing someone like that into the world is just cruel to everyone else!"

Damien Vaughn was getting pissed off, too.

’It’s not like he’d given birth to Elsa. He was suddenly forced to have this grown sister, forced to accept his parents’ separate, messy love lives, forced to accept his mother’s disability and his sister’s bizarre personality. What had he done wrong? Wasn’t he a victim, too?’

And now Cecelia Archer was fighting with him and wanted a divorce.

He was about to lose it, too.

"I told you to stay away from her, but you just wouldn’t listen. How can you be so sure that her suddenly leaving today has nothing to do with you? You should be glad I’m not coming after you for this, Brandon Jacobs. Don’t provoke me."

"Fucking hell! I was helping you out of the goodness of my heart! I spent all this time humoring your sister for you! And in the end, you blame me? Fine, so I’m a worthless idiot! I’m desperate for any woman! I love being a simp! I love sucking up to your Vaughn Family! What’s happened to your sister is all my fault! So just kill me! Come on! You’ll be happy once you kill me!"

As he spoke, Brandon Jacobs slammed his body into Damien Vaughn, who grimly shoved him back.

"Cut the sarcastic bullshit. The one who’s missing is my sister. What right do you have to yell at me?"

’Fuck! Even now, Damien Vaughn still thinks Elsa has nothing to do with him!’

’Nothing to do with me? Absolutely nothing at all?’

’She’s taken my heart, she’s taken my soul, I’m dying from the pain! Can’t these two siblings act like decent human beings for once?!’

"Fine, it has nothing to do with me. Absolutely nothing at all. I don’t care anymore. I’m leaving. Do whatever the hell you want. Let her illness relapse! Let her die on the side of some road! Let her die young in a foreign land! It’s got nothing to do with me, so that’s fine, right?!"

With that, Brandon Jacobs slammed his car keys on the ground and angrily turned to leave.

Damien Vaughn lunged forward and grabbed him by the collar.

"Even if this has nothing to do with you, she was still your woman for a time. Cursing her to die? Cursing my sister? Damien Vaughn’s sister? Brandon Jacobs, do you really think I wouldn’t dare to touch you?"

Brandon Jacobs found it ridiculous. He let Damien Vaughn hold him by the collar, watching him with a cold, unsettling smile.

"Me? Cursing her? She’s your sister, Damien Vaughn’s sister? Damien Vaughn, do you have any idea how pathetically stupid you are? You keep talking about how she’s your sister, but have you ever actually cared about her? Do you know where she’s hurting? Do you know what’s really hidden beneath that strange personality? Do you know where that pillbox I gave you the other day came from? Do you know why she’s so pessimistic and tired of life?"

"I’ll tell you! Your sister is the one taking those pills! She has breast cancer! Me, curse her to die? If my mouth were that powerful, I’d fucking..."

Damien Vaughn froze.

Other than the time his mother jumped off that building, Cecelia Archer was locked away, and Candy was sent away, no piece of news had ever shocked him this much.

He violently tightened his grip on Brandon Jacobs’s collar, pulling him so close their faces were almost touching.

"What did you say? Brandon Jacobs, what did you just say?"

Brandon Jacobs stared into his eyes, a bitter smile on his face.

"I said, your sister has breast cancer. That’s why she’s so pessimistic and tired of life, why she doesn’t want to live anymore. You don’t understand her at all! Damien Vaughn, you have no idea how lonely and miserable she is. You’re no brother to her. You don’t deserve to be her brother!"

For the next two days, Damien Vaughn didn’t return home once.
