Outcast Queen: Her Return from Hell novel Chapter 119

"I... I..." Vanessa avoided his gaze, stammering unable to speak. She thought she could hide it a little longer, but she never expected the truth to be exposed this quickly.

"Speak!"

"The... the deed was indeed transferred to Phoenix."

"You idiot!!" Warren's vision went dark with fury. The finger he pointed at Vanessa was shaking uncontrollably. "Do you realize what kind of stupid mistake you've made? This isn't just a house; this is my reputation!"

If word got out that his rebellious daughter had seized the Prescott Estate and even kicked them out, the entire high-society circle would treat the Prescott family like a laughingstock!

"Phoenix, are you out of your mind?" Ian's eyes widened in sheer disbelief. "You actually dared to steal Phoebe's house?!"

"Phoenix, I'm warning you. If you don't want to be thrown out on the street, give the deed back right now! Maybe we'll remember we share the same blood and let you live in the storage room!"

"Hah."

Phoenix laughed out of sheer absurdity, looking at Ian as if he were a complete idiot. "Ian, did you trade your brain for that face of yours?"

"Can't you understand human speech? I am the owner here now. The only people getting kicked out are you... and the rest of you."

Her icy gaze swept over Warren and Vanessa one by one. "Oh, by the way, just a heads-up: Julian and Phoebe were already thrown out this afternoon."

A flash of pure resentment crossed Warren's eyes as he forced down his fury. "Phoenix, we are family after all. Do you really have to be this cruel?"

"Family?" Phoenix shook her head, laughing as if she had just heard the greatest joke in the world. "When have you ever treated me like family?"

"The day I got out of prison, did any of you come to pick me up? No. You were all too busy figuring out how to help your precious adopted daughter climb the social ladder!"

"In your eyes, I was worse than Phoebe in every possible way. I had nothing worth being proud of. I was just an embarrassing piece of trash."

"If it weren't for Grandfather demanding that Prescott blood couldn't be left wandering the streets, you probably would never have brought me back in the first place, would you?"

Every single word struck the floor with heavy impact, carrying the bitter chill of years of accumulated pain.

Any outsider hearing this would feel their heart break, but to the Prescotts, it was just grating and annoying.

"Why don't you reflect on yourself? The moment you came back, all you cared about was competing for attention and scheming against Phoebe! With a despicable personality like yours, you don't even deserve to be my sister!" Ian countered coldly. "Phoebe might not be related by blood, but she is obedient and understanding. She has the character and upbringing of a true heiress. She is completely incomparable to a wild hen like you!"

"Idiot." Phoenix closed her eyes. Arguing with a fool was just a waste of her life. "Then I wish you luck being Phoebe's wonderful brother forever. Stick with her, even when she eventually scams you until there's nothing left but bones."

Meredith took everything in silently.

But... when exactly did she change?

Was it because she schemed against Phoebe to win their favor? Sending Phoebe to the hospital time and time again?

From that point on, Vanessa's attitude toward her biological daughter took a nosedive, eventually morphing into pure resentment. When Phoebe was in that car crash, they didn't even hesitate to blame Phoenix. When they made her take the fall, they didn't feel a single ounce of guilt.

But... all those incidents seemed to be based entirely on Phoebe's one-sided accounts, and they had believed every word.

Could it be...

"Dad, Mom, do you see this?" Ian's hateful voice shattered Vanessa's thoughts. "This woman is an expert at playing the victim to get sympathy! That's exactly how she hurt Phoebe over and over again. Don't let her trick you!"

"She might be able to fool outsiders, but she can't fool us!"

Vanessa's eyes sharpened. That tiny sliver of doubt instantly vanished into thin air. Yes, Phoenix was rotten to the core. All that past obedience had just been a facade! Only Phoebe, raised under their careful guidance, was truly pure.

Phoenix looked at the faces of her family and felt her intelligence was being insulted.

She couldn't be bothered to waste any more breath. She issued a cold command: "Lawrence, throw these people out."
