"Call it, Rowena! Quick! Let's see if we can get through to Nolan!" Ian urged desperately, clinging to this final lifeline.

If the Nolan route fell through, Ian Prescott would be dragged straight to hell.

Taking a deep breath, Rowena dialed the number with a trembling finger. The long, drawn-out dialing tone felt like a hammer striking her chest, making her heart race in time with the beeps.

The call connected.

"Hello, is this Star?" Rowena asked, her tone incredibly respectful, suppressing her nervous breaths.

"Yes."

The voice on the other end was cold, concise, and commanding.

"This is Rowena Reed, an agent from Starlet Media. Forgive the intrusion, but could we arrange a time to meet? I have something extremely important I'd like to discuss with you." Rowena lowered her stance completely, her voice bordering on a plea.

She was terrified the elusive musical prodigy would just hang up.

"Fine."

Those two simple words sounded like a choir of angels to Rowena. A brilliant spark of hope ignited in her eyes.

"You can come straight to Room 204 at The Meridian."

"Huh?"

Rowena froze, her mind going completely blank for a second.

Before she could even process it to confirm, the call ended.

"Rowena, what happened? What did Star say?" Noticing her strange expression, Ian pressed anxiously.

Rowena turned her head stiffly, her gaze drifting toward an ordinary-looking VIP room just down the hall. Her voice was dry. "Star... is in this building."

"What?!" Ian's face changed instantly, his eyes wide in disbelief. "Is that even possible? What are the odds someone that important is here right now?!"

"It feels strange to me too, but that's what they said." Pushing down her rising suspicions, Rowena sighed. "Let's go. We'll find out soon enough."

They straightened their clothes and walked nervously to the door, giving it a gentle knock.

"Come in."

A cool voice drifted from inside.

Ian frowned. Why did that voice sound so familiar?

Before he could dwell on it, Rowena pushed the door open.
