Outcast Queen: Her Return from Hell novel Chapter 386

Cora froze, clearly surprised by the request, but wiped the corners of her eyes and nodded. "Alright. Follow me."

Phoenix stepped forward, casually linking arms with Cora as they walked out of the suffocating living room.

Just as Phoenix left and Pierce began his confidential discussion with Gideon about the Osbornes, an unremarkable servant hiding in the shadows of the living room quietly slipped his phone back into his pocket after firing off a text message.

Meanwhile, in a luxurious hotel suite across the city.

A soft chime broke the silence, and the screen lit up.

Mavis glanced at the text message, a mocking smirk curling her lips. "Phoenix, Phoenix. I thought you had god-tier abilities. After all that posturing, you actually fell for the lie that Meredith was shipped overseas?"

She lifted her wine glass, gently swirling the crimson liquid, a vicious gleam in her eyes.

"You want to represent the Millers to negotiate with the Osbornes? Heh, how interesting." She took a sip, her smile dripping with malice. "I really hope you're the one sitting across the table tomorrow. I can't wait to see the look on your face when you realize the Osborne representative is me."

Back at the Miller estate.

Phoenix linked arms with Cora, but instead of heading straight to the second-floor bedrooms, she took her time weaving through the sprawling garden corridors in a seemingly random pattern.

She looked completely casual, but her eyes were meticulously scanning every security camera blind spot and guard patrol route.

At first, Cora was confused, but as a seasoned executive who had conquered overseas markets, her sharp instincts quickly kicked in. She realized instantly—going to Meredith's room was just a cover. Phoenix was flushing out the moles and spies hidden within the Miller household!

"The Miller estate is massive, even more lavish than the Prescott estate," Phoenix suddenly stopped, casually tossing out a remark. "Wouldn't you agree, Cora?"

"Yes, the Miller family established itself early. Land was cheap back then, so the estate takes up a lot of space," Cora steadied her nerves, playing along smoothly.

As she spoke, she looked up, locking eyes with Phoenix's deep, piercing gaze. In that brief exchange, a silent understanding passed between them.

"Phoenix, are you..." Cora lowered her voice, about to ask.
