Shredded Vows: The Billionaire’s Secret Heir novel Chapter 11

Summer was startled, quickly adjusting her tone. "Mr. Gray, sales for this quarter increased by twelve percent year-over-year, but the East Coast region underperformed."

"The reason?" Gideon asked concisely.

Summer replied, "Mainly due to aggressive price cuts by competitors. For this project, I suggest we pivot our resources toward the high-end market to strengthen brand premium and avoid future price wars."

She was always like this, anticipating solutions the moment she spotted a problem.

Gideon nodded, tapping his fingertips lightly against the desk. "Draft a detailed supplementary plan for the East Coast by tomorrow. We will proceed with your suggestion for now, but the details must be flawless. Don't leave our rivals any openings."

"Understood," Summer replied smoothly, her tone carrying its usual professional calm.

He didn't glance at her documents, nor did he say another word.

Summer stood off to the side, her gaze resting quietly on him. Backlit by the window, the man's sharp, breathtaking profile was cast in shadows.

Gideon furrowed his thick brows and pointed at the lilies on the table. "Take those away."

"Sir..."

"I said take them away."

"Yes, sir."

Summer gathered the files, hurriedly grabbed the vase, and turned to leave.

Her footsteps were brisk and efficient, but she couldn't help feeling confused. When they were abroad, he had always wanted a bouquet of lilies on his desk from time to time. Why did he suddenly despise them now that they were back in the country?

Gideon had only liked lilies because Lydia Rose naturally carried their scent.

Whenever he occasionally missed her while overseas, he would smell the flowers.

But he didn't need them now. His wife was right here. He wasn't going to divorce her, and he could have her whenever he wanted.

After work, as Gideon stepped out of the lobby, he noticed the paparazzi had already been blocked dozens of feet away by his bodyguards. Still, they formed an impenetrable human wall.

He shoved his hands into his pockets, squinting at the crowd as they relentlessly snapped photos of him.
