During her lunch break, Serena stepped out onto the terrace to take a call. "Are you absolutely sure his wife lives at Belvoir Estate? He has properties everywhere. Make sure you aren't mistaken," she whispered into the phone.

"It's a hundred percent confirmed. He goes back occasionally, though rarely. Sometimes he spends the night, and sometimes he leaves in the middle of it."

"Leaves in the middle of the night?" Serena frowned in confusion.

That sounded like a terribly dysfunctional marriage.

After work, Serena drove straight to the towering iron gates of Belvoir Estate. She had never been inside the sprawling mansion, which had reportedly been purchased five years ago.

Peeking through the ornate bars, the property exuded an understated, breathtaking luxury.

Every flawless detail practically screamed wealth and impeccable taste. The sheer scale of the grounds was jaw-dropping.

Soon, a taxi pulled up near the entrance.

An ordinary, middle-aged woman stepped out, clutching a worn canvas tote as she made her way toward the grand gates.

Wait... why did she look familiar? Serena pulled off her sunglasses from the driver's seat, squinting.

The woman approached the security panel. The facial recognition system chimed, and the heavy gates swung open to let her inside.

Staring at the woman's retreating back, it suddenly clicked. "It's the old maid!"

When Grace Rose entered the grand living room, Mrs. Gable welcomed her warmly. "Have a seat, Grace. I just pulled these pastries from the oven. Lydia will be home shortly. She had the chef prepare all your favorites."

"Thank you." Grace sat stiffly on the lavish sofa, hands folded nervously in her lap. "Mrs. Gable... does Gideon come home often these days?"
