Shredded Vows: The Billionaire’s Secret Heir novel Chapter 4

The veil obscured her face, revealing only a glimpse of her silky long hair. A few strands fluttered in the wind, making her look as beautiful, gentle, and mysterious as a fairy.

In the photo, he had his arm around her waist, looking down at her. It seemed warm and romantic, yet it carried an untouchable sense of distance.-

If it hadn't been his grandfather's dying wish, he never would have married her, no matter how much he loved her!

"Ugh, stop blocking me! I need to see Gideon!"

"I don't need an appointment to see him! I'm Ms. Sterling, are you all blind?! How dare you block my way!"

"Good dogs don't block the path! All of you, step aside!"

Amidst the clamor, a girl decked out in designer brands rushed to the door and pushed the glass open.

"Gideon!"

The staff behind her looked absolutely terrified.

"Mr. Gray, we're so sorry. We just couldn't stop her..." Mainly because of her status, they didn't dare lay a hand on her. Otherwise, crushing her would have been easier than crushing an ant!

Gideon closed his laptop, his handsome brows furrowing slightly as he looked toward the door and waved off the terrified staff.

Everyone bowed and quickly retreated.

By this time, Serena had rushed over to him, speaking with excited petulance.

"Gideon, how could you come back without telling me?"

"What exactly is your position? Why should I tell you when I return?" Gideon leaned back in his chair, crossing his legs and looking at her with amusement.

He had barely landed when she bought a ticket to follow him back, never expecting Gideon to have this kind of attitude!

Was he not surprised or touched in the slightest?
