Chapter 91
Cecilia’s POV
+15 Bonus
I’ve cliff jumped before, back in high school, when we took a fieldtrip to a waterfall. It was a little bigger than this one, so I knew what I was doing. But the look he was giving me made me feel like maybe I was a bit over the top.
“Are you insane?” He asked me, raising his brows. “You want to jump off this cliff?”
I shrugged.
“I mean, we climbed all the way up here, so why not?” I asked. “It’s not that high up.”
“It’s a cliff.”
I let out a low laugh and shook my head.
“Obviously, it’s a cliff. That’s why I want to jump. The water seems deep enough, no?”
“Well, yeah… but… I mean… seriously?”
For the first time since I’d known him, Warren was completely speechless, and it only made me laugh even harder.
“You should see your face right now.”
He frowned, and then he stood up, towering over me.
“Are you joking?” He asked, narrowing his eyes. “Because it’s not funny.”
I raised my brows at him, confused.
“What’s gotten into you?” I asked. “I’m not joking, for one. And two, you aren’t acting like yourself. Should we call a doctor?”
“Jumping off a cliff is a dumb thing to do. You could break your neck,” he said, shaking his head.
“The Warren I know would live dangerously with me,” I say, folding my arms across my chest.
“Would he, now?” He asked, making me frown.
“Yes, he would,” I replied. “Are you going to make me jump off this cliff by myself?”
“You’d jump by yourself?” He asked. “What has gotten into you?”
“It’s not like I’ve never done this before,” I tell him, cocking my head to the side. “I did so on a fieldtrip in high school, and the cliff was a lot taller than this one.”
“You jumped off a cliff before?” He asked, his eyes widening.
“Yes,” I say with a shrug. “It’s not really that big of a deal. Why are you making it one?”
“Because I’ve never known of any Omega that jumped off a cliff before,” he said, making my heart stop in my chest. “I’ve also never known one who can climb like you.”
He took a step closer to me, his eyes narrowing.
I stepped back, realizing my grave mistake.
“It’s making me question whether or not you really are an Omega or not,” he continued. “So, tell me… what are you?”
“I’m not sure what you mean,” I say, my voice coming out softer than it had a moment ago, and I could have kicked myself for it. “Why would I pretend to be an Omega?”
“That’s what I’m trying to figure out, Cecilia.”

“I’m not pretending,” I tell him. “I truly am an Omega. You can ask tny pack. They will tell you the same thing.”
“The pack that tried to kill you
It wasn’t a question.
I swallowed the lump in my throat and nodded
“That proves my point, does it not?” I asked, folding my arms across my chest. “Why would they try to kill me if I weren’t an Omega?”
He stared at me for a moment longer; his scrutiny made me uneasy. He wasn’t acting like Warren… he was acting like Leopold. But why would he pretend to be Warren? No… Leopold would never spend this much time with me, and he wouldn’t walk into my room without knocking. He also wouldn’t go for an all-night walk with me in the forest like this.
