The Cold Surgeon's Contract Bride novel Chapter 111

Ferris's sharp reprimand brought a brief, dead silence to the once-chaotic hospital room.

His presence was naturally commanding, and he wore a dark scowl as he walked in. Though he didn't say another word, everyone present—including the couple causing the scene—dared not make another sound.

The messy situation stabilized just like that.

"You," Ferris said coldly, looking at Leon before shifting his gaze to me. "And you. Go wait in my office."

Terrence wasn't having it. "Hold on, this doctor hit me, you can't just let him—" he yelled at the top of his lungs.

Ferris shot him an icy glare, and Terrence's aggressive posture immediately deflated. "You at least owe us an explanation," he muttered softly.

The head nurse quickly stepped forward to apologize. "It's all a misunderstanding. Look, Dr. Logan will be here any minute. If you two have any concerns, you can bring them directly to him."

Terrence pouted, shooting a sideways glance at Ferris. "Fine," he said reluctantly. "Everyone saw what happened anyway."

Ferris ignored him. His expression was thunderous as his gaze landed on Leon and me once again. "Are you still standing here?" he demanded strictly.

Five minutes later, Leon and I appeared in Ferris's office at the same time.

The man twisted the cap off a bottle of water right in front of us. After taking a huge gulp, he stared at Leon. "She's an intern who doesn't know any better, but you decided to join in on the nonsense? Do you know what it means to get physical with a patient's family?"

"Dr. Lennox was trying to help me," I immediately explained.
