The Lycan's Forbidden Mate novel Chapter 101

101 Prophecy of the child of doom (2)

101 Prophecy of the child of doom (2)

“Child of doom?” Lev asked with a low chuckle.

“Come.” Ophelia led Yulia to sit then stood in front of her with Esmeralda

who looked as curious as her.

“Why are you so shaken about it? It’s just a story, you said so yourself.”

Esmeralda asked.

“Every time Nikolai took me along to play pranks with him, my mother would tell us that story, but she always did so in a way that made me feel uneasy. Every time I heard the story, I would frequently have nightmares, but now… It was just so vivid.” Yulia explained slowly.

“What did you see? What is the story about?” Asked Lev. Although he didn’t seem particularly interested, he was nevertheless curious.

“A child born from blood, born from a sacrifice, born from a deal treasured with a curse, and born bound to a dragon of dominance, has two paths in his horrifying fate. A being that awakens after death is a being of destruction, doomed to end every life that comes into contact with him. He is obsessed with terror and thrives off the darkness that swirls within him.” Yulia mumbled those words under her breath.

Ophelia was focusing on Yulia’s agitatedly quivering hands. What was going

on?

“That sounds less like a story and more like a poem.” Lev mumbled, sporting a disappointed expression.

“Actually, it sounds like a mythical prophecy. Like a child of a god.” Esmeralda chirped, looking interested.

“That’s not all, is it? It is a single scroll, not a book.” Ophelia said to Yulia who nodded slowly.

“According to mother, the child of doom feeds on the hearts of those who have wronged him and those who have done bad things in their lives.” Yulia mumbled.

“Sounds like the grim reaper.” Lev teased.

“Legendary prophecies are always intended to have an impact on the intended audience. Any wolf shifter who hears about it will be affected because they are supposed to comprehend it.” Esmeralda explained then sighed. “This prophecy is quite disturbing. I’m getting chills.”

Me too.” Ophelia mumbled.

“Oh gods! It is meaningless.” Lev said, attempting to reassure them. He then got to his feet and knelt down in front of Yulia. “You shouldn’t give it too much thought because it’s only a story and he’s not real. Perhaps your mother was only a frightening person.”

Yulia guffawed. “Truth be told, she was always scary.”

Lev patted her head and smiled, “You see,” before standing. “And even if he shows up, you’ll defeat him without a doubt.”

Yulia nodded, smiling. “Yes I will.”

“I believe the full moon effect is to blame for the unnecessarily vivid nature of your dream.” Esmeralda said to her.

“Probably… My senses are completely disoriented.” She giggled before rising. “I plan to watch my cousins fight. It offers the most effective relief from the full moon influence.”

“Oh, I’ll accompany you.” Esmeralda joyfully laughed.

Lev and Ophelia, who didn’t seem interested in following them, were drawn to the training ground by the ecstatic dark fairy as Yulia started to walk

away.

The ground resonated with grunts, and the stink of perspiration and blood permeated the area.

Yulia shook her head as they made their way down the steps..”Of course, there will be bodies.”

Up to fifteen bodies of sparring partners who had either been cut by claws or choked by shattering their bones were scattered over the training ground.

“Don’t kill yourself, you idiots!” Yulia shouted.

Viktor and Boris Novikov were engaged in combat at the time, but they stopped when they felt the presence of two dragons and a dark fairy.

“I advise you to all go! particularly that dragon.” Vladmir, who was perched on an upside-down branch of a frozen tree, announced. Sasha, who was sitting on the ground below him, didn’t appear to be doing well at all.

“You’re also pursuing me?” Yulia cried out in shock.

“No,” groused Boris as he rushed up to her and pulled her toward him. “What’s up with you making unauthorized friends?”

“They are unwanted to you and not to me.” Yulia growled and pushed him away from her.

She approached Pavel who was enjoying a glass of wine while sitting on a fence and jumped to grab it from him but he kicked her away, causing her to drop to the ground in a gasp.

“You kicked me!”

“You attempted to take my glass,” Pavel said casually as he drank.

He handed the glass to Yulia as she got to her feet, and she eagerly took it and drank it all.

“What are you telling my sister?” Boris growled at Ophelia.

“Do you want a beating?” Ophelia asked, raising a brow.

“Stay away from her” Boris snarled.

“What’s wrong with her?” Lex suddenly asked, his voice laced with worry, his eyes fixed on Sasha who Vladmir was poking on the head playfully.

“What’s it to you?” Boris growled at him. “Get lost!”

“Violence is never always the answer.” Viktor said to Boris, tapping his shoulder sluggishly.

“Pfft!” Boris walked away to sit next to Danil who was nonchalantly rubbing

the steel of a sword with a cloth.

“What’s wrong with her?” Ophelia asked Viktor, referring to Sasha.

“She’s in heat, but as long as she stays in our sight, she’ll be fine after tonight. However, up until then, she will be quite uncomfortable and dangerous.” Viktor explained solemnly.

“What is her remedy?” Lev asked curiously.

“Well, she either finds her mate on her own or we arrange for her to meet a random male but she’s not very… Promiscuous? There’s a good likelihood she’ll murder the random male.” Viktor replied and sighed.

“She will kill him in an or…ganic way!” Vladmir announced and bursted into laughter.

Ophelia gently nodded. “Can we speak privately?” She questioned Viktor, who nodded and followed her out of the training ground.

Viktor kept an eye on Ophelia, who had a frightened look on her face as they moved down the hallway. “Is everything okay?”
