138 Twist?
Much attention was drawn by the commotion caused by the wall. The damaged wall caused several servants to rush inside Lev’s chamber with pale faces, but the Novikovs outside the castle stared up at the dragon in disbelief and a raised eyebrow as they tried to figure out what had occurred.
Lev landed in the garden weakly and changed back into his human form, but fortunately Sasha, who had sensed magic, hurried in his direction. He was short of breath, and, like Ophelia, his vision had entirely clouded.
“Lev!” As she got closer to them, Sasha yelled. She swiftly crouched down next to Lev to see if he was alright. When she turned to look at Ophelia, she was astounded to see Nikolai’s Tiger Phoenix rubbing his nose on Ophelia’s forehead and purring.
Even though their eyes were open, they were only slowly blinking in an attempt to at least see anything. Yet it was useless.
“Pain?” Calling out, Ophelia reached up to touch the Tiger Phoenix’s head.
The beast sat next to her and gave a deep, relaxed growl.
“How could this happen?” Lev was helped to his feet by Sasha, who stated with a moan and gripped his arm. “I sensed something.”
“I no longer even want to comprehend.” Lev hissed, and Sasha sighed as he put his arm across her shoulder.
“I can’t see.” Ophelia sighed.
Sasha parted her lips. “I…”
However, she was interrupted by a brisk footfall that abruptly resonated all around them. Guards encircled the garden, all of whom were aiming

spears at them.
“Alexander, the former Alpha, has issued a command. For causing property damage, the dragons must be severely punished.”
Sasha scowled. Of course the news got to him so quickly. A dramatic incident had already occurred, and another one was on the horizon.
“Punished?! A fucking witch assaulted us!” Lev screamed angrily. “Did you stupid people think we would wait for her to murder us? What the hell are you meatheads thinking?”
“The order has been placed already. Your words are meaningless.” One of the guards responded in a repulsed manner.
This seemed strange in some way. Sasha took note.
Alexander had the option of reviewing this. What was he hoping to achieve by punishing the dragons when he was aware that the dragoness would choose to receive the penalty alone because she wouldn’t want anyone to harm her brother? Of course, Alexander retained his authority, but only because Nikolai wasn’t present in the castle to dissolve his order.
Even though it was illegal for creatures that weren’t wolf shifters to destroy property, yet… Still, Alexander could just ignore it.
“You cannot demand that they be punished. They had only recently come upon a witch who had sneaked into our castle. What could be more
crucial than that?” Angry, Sasha questioned.
“No one would be foolish to punish my sister!” Lev shouted.
“Lev.” With a sigh, Ophelia called and got to her feet on her own. She was still blind, but just like Lev, she had flawless hearing.
The blood pearl.
The witch who pretended to be Alina.

Now, as a result of property damage, a ridiculous punishment.
She could tell by Alexander’s action that he was somehow involved in what had just occurred. That pearl was a lure the witch had hid in her brother’s room. But the witch never intended to kill her.
What was it that she desired if not to kill her?
“Under no circumstances will my brother be hurt, otherwise I will burn this castle to the ground.” With great seriousness, Ophelia declared.
“Ophelia!” Lev called.
“Sasha, please take my brother away.” With a smile, Ophelia said.
Sasha groaned. “Very well, then.”
Ophelia’s punishment was limited to a minimum of seven hours in the dungeon, but many more were added due to the fact that everyone perceived her as a threat.
As the guards seized Ophelia’s arms and took her away, Sasha paused in her thoughts and turned to leave with Lev.
Unbeknownst to them, Ophelia and Sasha were the only ones who were aware of the presence of Pain. To the guards’ eyes, he was undetectable.
Deep beneath the ruins of the eastern part of the thriving imperial city of Celestia, where clandestine dealings were typically conducted. Among the others, a little cabin caught the sight, and from its interior a loud scream of agony erupted.
With the hood of his cloak covering his head, Nikolai stood with a carefree look, placing his booted feet on a screeching man’s head.
“Just tell me, and you can go. You’re squandering both of our valuable

time.” Nikolai groaned as he spoke.
“Never! My loyalty is much greater than your attempts to get my attention!” The man shouted out of breath.
Nikolai chuckled darkly. “Your loyalty will lead to the crushing of your head. Or do you believe I’m playing a bluff?”
The man’s head was filled with panic as Nikolai applied more pressure. A little more pressure would undoubtedly cause his skull to break, which he could already feel happening.
“Wait!” When the man screamed, Nikolai instantly withdrew his feet and drowsily watched as the man rapidly sat down. “I… I was only recently exiled! I had no desire to cause the princess any harm at all! I merely came here to conduct business, that’s all.”
Nikolai scoffed. “Spitting bullshit in the face of death. I respect you.”
The man’s eyes immediately filled with horror, and he shrieked, bending his head to the ground. “Lord Esteban instructed me to pursue the princess in secret on the night she was sent to Celestia and to bring her home once she had completed her mission. But I was caught by prince Lev. And after he beat me into a pulp, he gave me the mark of banishment which only a royal dragon can give to another.”
“Did Esteban come to see you or not?” With a growl, Nikolai questioned.
The man tensed up and remained silent.
“Respond to me!” While simultaneously roaring, Nikolai’s body fiercely
