“You’re a monster! I detest you! I despise you so much!”
He ignored Yulia’s screams and continued to stare at the blood pearl despite her protests. While her sobs, shouts, and obscenities kept him distracted and agitated, he had to restrain himself from harming her since, at least for the time being, she didn’t deserve it. He took a deep breath and then opened his eyes to gaze at the demon, who was visibly upset as he was holding the lycan, who was now kicking and yelling even louder.
“Put her to sleep.” Nikolai gritted his teeth in irritation.
Rhaziel responded by flicking the delicate area of her neck and Yulia immediately passed out in his arms.
“She yells like a banshee and is quite obnoxious, which shocks me.” As he carried her in his arms, Rhaziel complained.
“She used to be adorable when she was younger, but that has changed after I killed her mother, who deserved a far more horrific death than the one I gave her.” As he put the jewelry in his pocket, Nikolai murmured and looked unconcernedly at Yulia. “I have everything I desire, but not enough, therefore it’s time to return to my FireStorm.”
Rhaziel nodded. “Very well, then.” He turned around and headed towards the woods.
Nikolai’s body once more emitted a thick, dark mist that swept across the ground and enveloped it in total darkness. The coffin and the bones vanished along with the mist when it cleared.
He disappeared from view and appeared next to his steed without saying a word.

Rhaziel, who had just arrived, scoffed in annoyance. “You carry her.” He complained about Yulia.
“I want to hold someone else,” Nikolai groaned.
“And every wolf shifter in Celestia is preparing for that dragoness‘ demise.” Rhaziel scoffed, shoving Yulia into Nikolai’s arms. Of course, the existence of a dragoness living in the royal castle had to be known to everyone in Celestia.
Nikolai frowned and fixed his eyes on Rhaziel as he ascended on his horse. He began to question Ophelia’s lunch and dinner habits. After Yakim’s interruption, she must have been upset with him. She was left alone, and he started to feel bad. He wondered whether she went back to her
brother or had returned to his room.
“I don’t believe she’s eaten. She must not be getting Sasha’s full attention. Goddess! She must be quite hungry.” He was getting impatient once more, and the demon could notice it.
“Seriously?” Rhaziel gave Nikolai a stern look.
“I need to get going, so take my horse.” Nikolai remarked bluntly and disappeared from view, before Rhaziel could object.
“Asshole!” Rhaziel screamed and clinched his teeth as he glared at Nikolai’s mount. “The banshee was taken, at least.”
At the castle, Nikolai materialized in the corridor in front of a chamber. Due to the distance, his brows furrowed in discomfort and tiredness. Despite knowing that he shouldn’t have, he teleported. His FireStorm was all alone.
Without thinking twice, he kicked open the door, entered Yulia’s room, and gently laid her on the bed before covering her with the duvet. He

moved back and gave her a cold look as he did so. His blood–red eyes burned brightly, and soon his body began to evaporate of dark mist.
“Don’t harm her.” A recognizable voice muttered behind him.
“I won’t.” Nikolai grunted subtly.
“How did you find her?” Once more, a disgusted voice questioned.
Nikolai remained silent, his aura became significantly more erratic and resembled that of the forest floor.
“Why did you choose me to be a general?” Boris enquired while still standing at the door, his voice sounding a little tense from the weird darkness that was beginning to fill the space.
“Do you not merit it?” The moment Nikolai arched his brow, the darkness disappeared in an instant.
“Is that a question?” Boris asked, scoffing in utter incredulity.
Nikolai turned to confront Boris, his thick demon shaped black eyes purring in his face. Before Boris could react, Nikolai appeared in his room and saw Ophelia lying asleep in front of the bed with his guardian beast seated next to her, staring at her with a blank expression.
“What the hell?” Nikolai gasped out frantically as he began to feel weak from his teleportation.
He quickly ran to her, picked her up in his arms and gently laid Ophelia on the bed. As soon as he did, his head began to feel lighter than usual, and he pulled away from her before falling to the ground and hitting his head hard against the ground.
His eyes were still in their thick, black demon form, and he let out a low growl of pain. He did not, however, make any effort to get to his feet. From the woodland to the castle was a far distance. He had lost all of his

strength, like a sturdy vessel.
Pain approached him purring and rubbing Nikolai’s forehead with his nose
in sympathy. Nikolai chuckled as he stroked the head of his guardian beast.
“I’m alright.” As his guardian beast’s breath tickled his forehead, he chuckled softly.
“What happened to her?” Regarding Ophelia, he enquired. He was extremely concerned…. Seeing her motionless as she lay on the ground… He didn’t want to see that again in his life. Never again.
His desire was to hold her and stroke her delicate skin. He didn’t want to ponder too much, but hunger and desire had already begun to consume him. Slowly, his eyes returned to his crimson wolf–like shape.
“Nik…” His eyes widened when Ophelia uttered a quiet moan.
The guardian animal moved away from Nikolai, lay down, and shut his eyes.
