98 Full moon effect
With a clean sky, but not entirely free of clouds that were obscuring the sun, Celestia, the imperial capital, shone more brightly than on other day The folks were going from one location to another as they made preparations for the moon festival that evening despite the fact that it was snow-covered everywhere.
Music played, laughter could be heard and it was going to be a wonderful day, hopefully.
Ophelia stood on the balcony, gazing up at the sky and taking pleasure in the wind’s feel in her hair. She detected a slight indication of a full moon as she took a closer look. Wasn’t the full moon a time when Wolves were meant to get stronger?
Soon, Nikolai would be crowned Alpha and she clinched her hands on the concrete railing in the hopes that all would go smoothly today.
Her breath was taken away literally as she smiled, recalling their moments from the previous night.
With a heavy sigh, she returned back to the room to see Nikolai staring at Rhaziel dully while scraping his claws on the wine glass in his firm grip. The wine… Didn’t look like wine. Blood.
“Don’t make that face, you’re going to be crowned today.” Rhaziel retorted.
“I am internally jumping with excitement.” Nikolai tsked and took a small sip of the blood in his glass.
“What’s wrong?” Ophelia asked, raising a brow as she sat next to Nikolai and snatched the glass away from him.
Rhaziel smiled. “The full moon is messing with his emotions which means that there is a hundred percent chance that the moon festival will end in

chaos today.”
“Oh.” Ophelia slowly nodded and turned to face Nikolai, who was glaring a her like a child who has just had his favorite toy taken away.
“Mostly anger huh?” She asked Rhaziel and handed Nikolai back the glass.
“Only negative emotions will be channeled because of his demonic nature and they won’t be simple to control.” Rhaziel replied.
“What about the others?” Asked Ophelia.
“Most will go into heat, the werewolves would practically transform into their form tonight and will fill the forest, but due to the rules of the festival they will return back to their human forms at midnight in time for the coronation. However, the Lycans including the half breds, their effects are not specific.” Rhaziel elucidated.
“Specific?” Ophelia asked again.
“While I will be most irritated today, the others might be the same, or get the urge to transform for the rest of the night, in heat, and many more. There’s no specific effect for pure blooded lycans especially when it comes to the Novikovs.” Nikolai explained dully and drank all of the blood at once then pointed at glass at Danil.
“And you’re drinking blood because it calms you down?” Ophelia asked, shaking her head.
“Yes.” Nikolai replied, his expression completely blank and he looked back at Rhaziel who poured him fresh blood from a bottle wrapped in black cloth. “Every full moon day, mother is always asleep, father is as irritated as me, and I’ve never spent much time observing others.” He added and sipped nonchalantly.
Ophelia nodded. “Are you going to be alright?”

“No.” Nikolai replied immediately and took another sip.
“I suggest you two stay away from each other until midnight.” Rhaziel recommended.
“What?” Nikolai let out a low growl.
“Is that necessary?” Ophelia had to ask.
Rhaziel nodded. “To be honest, I can’t predict what Nikolai would end up doing in this state. He will be incredibly annoying but I can deal with it.”
“Annoying?!” Nikolai growled and frowned deeply as his eyes turned into their thick black demon form.
“See?” Rhaziel asked Ophelia who smiled and shook her head.
Nikolai sighed and blinked, his eyes turning back to their crimson form. “I’r not staying away from her,” He mumbled as he took another sip.
“And if you end up strangling her?” Rhaziel asked with a scoff.
“Oh it’s that bad?” Ophelia asked.
Rhaziel smiled. “Indeed Nikolai’s FireStorm,”
“Well,” Nikolai trailed and stood up, drinking all of the blood at once. “That obnoxious fairy is present in the castle, same with your brother. They can keep you distracted for a while.”
Ophelia stared at him, pursing her lips. Why was it suddenly so hard to leave him?
“Will you be okay?” Ophelia asked, standing to her feet.
“No.” He replied, taking her hand in his.

Rhaziel let out a heavy sigh and grabbed the empty glass from Nikolai. went on to stand beside the door next to the Tiger Phoenix, who was glumly observing the couple.
Oblivious to the eyes watching them, Nikolai and Ophelia locked/passion glances.
“Can you feel it?” Nikolai asked.
“How difficult it is right now to leave you? Yes.”
“Hmm. The mate bond is strengthening.” He whispered and her eyes widened slightly.
Nikolai smiled, placing his palm on her cheek. “Keep yourself out of troub Be totally deaf for today only.”
“No.” Ophelia said, invoking his customarily drab tone.
