Two Can Play (Celeste and Dominic) novel Chapter 120

Chapter 120

Fresh tears spilled down her cheeks. “Yes.”

“And the one in the coma. That’s your brother.”

She nodded, unable to speak.

“And your brother was dating one of these girls.” I looked at the three of them. “Which one?”

Scarlett pointed at Maya, who let out a fresh sob at the mention of it.

“You’re dating a man who’s in a coma right now because of me,” I said, looking at Maya. “How does that

feel?”

“Please,” Maya begged, her voice cracking. “We’re orphans. All of us. We have no one else. No family. No one. We only have each other. Please don’t throw us in prison. Please. We’ll do anything. Anything you want. We will never scam any one again.”

“Of course you won’t make the same mistake again,” I told Scarlett, ignoring Maya completely. “And that’s because you’re all going to jail.”

They begged harder. They cried louder. They promised to change, to give back everything they had stolen, to disappear and never bother anyone again.

I held up my hand to silence them.

“First things first. Where is my money?”

Scarlett looked up at me, her face soaked with tears.

“The money was sent to the crypto wallet of my boyfriend,” she said, her voice trembling. “The one who died. We hadn’t had time to share it yet. We were going to split it and run, but you found us before we could. And his phone was in his pocket when he was shot.”

I stared at her, processing what she was saying. Then I turned to the men standing guard.

“Get me the dead guy’s phone. Search his body.”

The men exchanged a look. “We never searched his body for a phone, boss. Following your instructions,

we tossed him into the sea.”

I felt my jaw tighten. “Then get it back. I don’t care if you have to dive to the bottom of the ocean. Find that phone and bring it to me.”

“Yes, sir.”

Two of the men hurried out. I turned back to the girls, who were still on their knees, still shaking, still

crying.

“You better pray that I get my money back,” I said, my voice low and dangerous. “Because if my money is

gone, I will make you cough up every single penny before I throw your criminal asses in prison. And trust me when I say that prison will be the least of your worries by the time I’m done with you.”

“We’ll do anything,” Tasha begged, her hands clasped together like she was praying. “Anything. We swear. We’ll work for you. We’ll pay you back. We’ll….”

“I don’t need your services. I need my money.”

I stood up and walked out, ignoring the cries and pleas that followed me.

The girls were beautiful, I would give them that. Young, sexy, the kind of faces that could make a man do stupid things. I couldn’t understand why they had turned to a life of crime, especially if prison scared them as much as their begging suggested.

But there was no way I was showing mercy to people like that, no matter how much they begged. They had tried to ruin me. They had taken what was mine. And now they would pay the price.

I instructed the men to keep the girls locked up inside until I gave further orders. I was going to get my money back one way or another. And after that, I would hand them over to the authorities so all their other victims could get justice too.
