I'd been waiting for those words.

One of the council members stepped forward.

Heads throughout the crowd immediately began nodding in agreement.

"Yes! We want Alpha King Sawyer as our ruler!" a man nodded.

"Please lead us the right way, Your Highness!" a woman shouted.

I smiled and raised a hand, gesturing for everyone to settle down.

"I've told you before, I have plans for all of us. While I waited for this day, I wasn't sitting inside the castle doing nothing. I've already been preparing for what comes next. I've been thinking about how we're going to rebuild our lives and make this place safer and better for everyone."

This time, I spoke with even more pride and confidence.
