Alpha Daddies And Their Innocent Little Maid (18+) novel Chapter 190

Samuel pov

“Since everyone has already shared their stories,” I said lightly, my voice deep and casual, “it’s only fair that I share mine too, isn’t it?”

A thoughtful hum slipped from my lips as I tilted my head slightly. I didn’t wait for an answer.

I never did.

There was no need for her voice. Not yet. Not when everything I wanted was already unfolding exactly the way it should.

“There was a boy,” I began softly, almost conversationally, “and that boy was me. Samuel.”

My footsteps echoed slowly against the ground as I walked. Each step dragged something deeper out of me, widened the grin on my lips, made my heartbeat pound heavier inside my chest.

“When I was young, I already knew I was different.”

The moment the words left my lips, the world blurred.

Shifted.

Flickered.

Until I was no longer there anymore.

A mirror appeared in my mind and in front of it sat a small boy—too still, too quiet, too rehearsed.

“Smile,” my mother said gently.

I saw her clearly. Soft eyes. Warm voice. Standing beside my father as they both stared at the child like something fragile that needed fixing.

The boy tried. Slowly and awkwardly. His lips moved like they didn’t belong to him.

“Not like that,” she corrected softly, leaning closer. “Like this.”

She smiled at him. It was bright, warm, it was human unlike him so the boy copied it again. The mirror obeyed. The face changed but inside he felt nothing.

“Good,” she clapped happily, as if something meaningful had been achieved but the child only stared at his reflection blankly, confused by how hollow it all felt.

“Laugh,” my father said next, sharper this time. More forceful. A sound came out but it was delayed and empty. They smiled anyway, like that meant progress. Like something human was finally being built inside him.

Then—

“Cry.”

Silence.

The boy tried but nothing came. Not sadness, not fear, not frustration. Only emptiness stretching endlessly inside a child who didn’t understand what he was missing.

The mirror flickered and the scene cracked like glass, taking me back to the present, as I smiled perfectly this time, a low hum slipping from my lips as I continued.

“They kept telling themselves I would grow out of it,”

I murmured softly, tilting my head back slightly, eyes fluttering shut. “So every day, they made me practice expressions.”

I laughed quietly under my breath.

“Smiling. Laughing. Crying. They truly believed that I could become better, human according to them, however…I didn’t grow out of it,” I whispered softly, my grin widening. “Instead… everything changed one day.”

Just like before, the image before me flickered and everything changed, the past resurfaced and the boy was no longer sitting in front of a mirror.

He was outside now. Alone. A small animal trembled weakly in front of him, bleeding and for the first time in his life, something stirred inside his chest. A real emotion. A flicker of something alive.

The boy smiled.

Not because he had copied it. Not because he had been taught to.

It was real this time.

A laugh escaped him easily as he stared at the twitching creature before him, and the emptiness inside him finally reacted to something.

For the first time in his life, the seven-year-old boy had finally felt something as his parents stared at him, holding the knife he had stabbed the cat in horror and disbelief.

The image shifted and I suddenly threw my head back and laughed loudly, the sound echoing through the room.

“But they weren’t happy!” I screamed, my grin stretching unnaturally wide. “I really thought they would be happy”

My breathing became uneven as I laughed harder, almost choking on the sound myself.

“I finally gave them what they wanted. I learned! I progressed! I smiled properly! I laughed properly!”

Then I stopped completely.

My eyes widened slowly, the smile twitching violently on my lips.

“But they were scared,” I whispered. A strange look crossed my face, almost confused, almost hurt. “They looked at me like I was a monster.” I pressed a hand tightly against my chest as my eyes darted around frantically.

“They kept forcing medicine down my throat. Taking me to doctors. Whispering when they thought I couldn’t hear them.” A sharp laugh escaped me. “They treated me like I was sick.”

A single tear rolled slowly down my cheek.

“And that hurt,” I murmured softly, almost childishly. “Ah… that really hurt.”

Then suddenly, my laughter stopped again. A slow smirk spread across my face as I tilted my head slightly.

“Do you know what I did to make it stop, Lilith?”

The next second, I moved and was already behind her.

Towering over her slumped figure as she laid weakly against the ground, her chest rising and falling heavily while the drug dragged her deeper into exhaustion. She didn’t scream anymore. Didn’t fight.
