Alpha Daddies And Their Innocent Little Maid (18+) novel Chapter 191

Samuel pov

Lilith.

She looked barely conscious now, slumped weakly against the ground with her eyes shut, her breathing shallow and uneven as the drug dragged her deeper under.

I stared at her for a long moment before smiling faintly.

“That was my original plan,” I murmured quietly. “What I wanted to achieve.” My expression shifted slowly as I exhaled a short, almost amused breath.

“But now…” A soft laugh slipped out. “I’m not so sure anymore.” I tilted my head, studying her as though she were the only thing in the room worth understanding. “I don’t know why I’m doing any of this now.”

My brows furrowed faintly, a rare trace of confusion crossing my face. “Yes, it’s exciting. It’s entertaining. It's fucking fun to watch everyone being treated like a goddamn fool!”

My smile twitched as I spoke, quieter this time, almost thoughtful. “But I still don’t really feel it.” My voice dropped slightly, softer, as though I were admitting something inconvenient to myself. “I don’t think I’m becoming human at all.”

Then my gaze locked onto her again, sharper now. “But you…” A slow grin returned, curling at the edges of my lips. “I’ve watched you for a while now, Lilith.” I leaned forward slightly, my eyes narrowing with interest. “And something tells me you can answer me.”

The room fell into a thick, uneasy silence, broken only by Jayden’s strained, desperate sounds somewhere behind us. I didn’t look away from her even once.

She was different. During the rogue attack on the packhouse, she hadn’t killed anyone herself. She had tried to attack without ending someone's life and not only that she was different from everyone else.

She was kind. She never gave up. She helped anyone that was in danger. She never tried to hurt anyone.

Wasn’t that what it meant to be human?

Wasn’t that what my parents wanted me to be?

I only stared, waiting, as if the entire world had narrowed down to this single moment.

“Tell me,” I whispered, my voice calm but intent, “how do I become human… how do I become happy?”

For a second, there was nothing. No movement. No sound. Then her lips parted slightly, and my attention sharpened instantly, every part of me leaning forward without me even realizing it.

She tried to speak, and I moved closer instinctively, anticipation tightening in my chest. But instead of words, a laugh slipped out of her lips—soft, low, barely audible, almost broken and beneath it, like a crack splitting through something already unstable, came the repetition.

“I’ll kill you.”

My smile widened faintly at first, as if I found it amusing.

“I’ll kill you.”

Again.

“I’ll kill you.”

Again, louder now.

The words kept coming, sharper each time, stacking over each other until they filled the space between us completely. However…slowly, my grin began to fade.

My brows drew together as I studied her more carefully, not reacting to what she said, but to what I felt changing in the air.

Something was wrong.

Not her words. Not her voice.

The atmosphere itself.

It had grown colder, heavier, like pressure sinking into the bones of the room. Even Jayden had stopped moving entirely now, his desperate twitching gone still. Leo, who rarely reacted to anything at all, had shifted into a guarded stance, his gaze fixed on Lilith as the chains around her wrists began to tremble violently.

She wasn’t even struggling, yet they shook harder and harder, as if something unseen was forcing them into panic.

My eyes narrowed slightly.

Was this the golden wolf doing?

No. Impossible, she was supposed to be suppressed for the next hours but before I could form the thought properly, a voice cut through the room.

Low. Deep. Controlled.

“You have two seconds to get away from her.”

The words didn’t echo.

They pressed into the air like a command the world itself had no choice but to obey.

The temperature dropped instantly and without even looking up, I already knew who it was.

A slow smile curved back onto my lips as three terrifying presence pressed down in the surrounding.

I lifted my gaze. They were already there.

Lucien, Silas, and Claude.

Standing in front of me, the air around them was dense, sharp, filled with something close to killing intent. Even the space between us felt strained, like it was waiting to snap.
